I am curious to explore how coaching can enhance your life ?
Having had coaching myself when I was having to combine being a carer for a family member and working full time; juggling too many balls at once... I know just how powerful the coaching process is. It is very different from managerial supervision that you may have experienced at work.
Quite simply coaching gave me the space to be, to think out loud and reframe situations.
What is it like to work with me?
I will provide you with a quiet space to think out loud, explore your options and plan what next.
I have a very practical, pragmatic approach and offer a menu of possible options which include all sorts of tools ranging from a blank sheet of paper and pens, to NLP tools and metaphors, Myers Briggs Personality Indicator and sometimes no tools just 'being there.'
I am confident that coaching and the opportunities that the coaching process provides helps people to reach their potential and I hope that I could assist you to reach yours !

I think that these testimonials gives you a flavour of how I work and will shine a light on how coaching could assist you:
“I was extremely fortunate to meet Fiona and to have coaching sessions with her over a period of some months. At that time I was overworked, burnt out and gaining little recognition or satisfaction as a Consultant surgeon in the NHS. I clearly remember the 22 September that year. Fiona had arranged a personalised one to one extended coaching session for me which included walking around Alnwick Gardens exploring my position through the metaphor of a developing garden and also working in Fiona’s office. By the time I was returning home to London, I was rejuvenated, centred, motivated and on the road to a better life/work balance. Over the subsequent 2 months Fiona continued to support me with telephone coaching as I made some major decisions that transformed my life. Her compassion, experience and maturity were invaluable to me throughout this time. Perhaps most significant of all was her ability to reflect some hard truths back to me and to quietly remind me of those truths so that I was eventually able to make the difficult choices that changed my situation around. These included a decision to take 4 months out from my job to address escalating serious health problems and to deal with a dysfunctional personal relationship. Now 18 months later I am healthier than I have been since I was in my 20’s (30 years ago). My life is rich and I have time to enjoy my family life and to invest 3 mornings a week in a lifelong passion (equestrian sports). My job plan has been changed to allow me to play to my strengths and I now get great satisfaction from my clinical sessions. I have also had the time and energy to focus more on research and have started to publish and present again at an International level for the first time in 20 years. Although my working sessions were initially reduced when I returned to work after 4 months, I have since taken on 2 extra sessions and my salary is now higher than 2 years ago when I was working much longer hours. It would not have been possible for me to make these changes without Fiona’s coaching. Although most of the changes were made over a year ago, my life now continues to evolve. It is good to know that Fiona’s services are available to me if I need her professional input at times of particular difficulty in the future. Bev, Consultant Radiologist.
Some testimonials about Interview coaching :
“With Fiona’s help I was transformed from a sweaty, pale rabbit in the headlights interviewee to someone who could actually give a good answer to the questions and look comfortable and confident in the process. She allows you to practice answering questions in the privacy of her office completely removed geographically and socially from your normal circles of influence, so that you can safely remove the cloaks of British embarrassment, and finally learn to sing your own praises.
Every session with Fiona helped me enormously, and I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone with an important interview coming up.” Peter, Locum Consultant
“The interview coaching was structured, made me focussed. The coaching was tailored to my needs and helped to correct my weaknesses. I had a hard time selling myself. You made me focus on selling my skills and abilities effectively.
I was feeling very confident which showed through the whole interview and helped me to secure the job. You were quite flexible and able to accommodate me in a short notice. I was able to attend in my own time in a relaxed environment. Overall it was a very positive experience and an excellent value for money. I would recommend everyone to have interview coaching with you before his or her dream job. Thank you once again for helping me to secure my dream job and a happy new year.” Frances, Locum Consultant
A Graduate who was seeking a Graduate position at a large Accountancy Firm.
“Despite initial reservations about the benefits of Interview skills coaching, I can honestly say I would now never hesitate to recommend Fiona to anyone toying with the idea of seeking such help. From the moment I contacted Fiona she was immensely helpful – displaying both a genuine passion to assist me and, undoubtedly, a clear flair in her profession.
With Fiona's help I was able to secure a graduate position at a huge global firm – something I would not previously have believed possible. Fiona worked with me both face to face and over the telephone in prepping me for upcoming interviews. She used an effective technique of working on interview questions that were likely to come up, quizzing me on them before then pausing the mock interview to give me detailed and helpful feedback.
Her technique of repeating this process really helped me refine my answers and mannerisms for the interviews, and undoubtedly aided me in procuring the job. Much of this was down to Fiona and her enthusiastic way of teaching, something which I feel has not only aided me in the previously daunting process of job interviews, but which has also allowed me to recognise my own personal strengths on a much wider level.” Chris, Graduate Trainee at KPMG
Interview Skills from a Graduate entering the world of employment
“Fiona's help was invaluable to me in realising my strengths and how to sell myself at interview. She also made me really think about the best way to approach an interview and analyse Job Specifications and Person Specifications.
In the current job market it is very difficult for graduates to get the jobs they want and I honestly think that without Fiona's guidance I would not have been able to find a job so quickly or start that job with confidence. The interview preparation that you do with Fiona really helps you to analyse how best to approach the situation and how to overcome any areas where you may feel under confident or unsure how to answer.
I found a job that I love, a job that challenges me and a job that makes me feel valued and I got that job because of the coaching and help Fiona gave me. Thanks Fiona!”
