About me

A friendly introduction...
Hello, my name is Robin Macdonald and I am an ICF certified coach (life, career, business, executive and leadership) who is based in Glasgow and Milton Keynes, but operates across the British Isles and beyond where my coaching can easily be delivered in person if it’s possible to do so or remotely (via Zoom/Skype) which is getting increasingly more popular and allows for greater geographical freedom, reduced environmental impact and importantly doesn’t detract or diminish the coaching experience either.

Who do I work with...
I work with hardworking, focused, driven and determined people who want to take ownership of their lives and careers so that they can live the life that they want and elevate themselves, their goals and their dreams to the next level.

I am comfortable (and enjoy) working with males and females and love the diversity of people from all walks of life. However, I take particular satisfaction and professional pride in working with males who have possibly found it difficult in the past to express themselves freely & who maybe haven’t seen the possibilities around them or recognised the potential that they have.

To those that are interested, I have also been trained in mental health awareness from Mental Health First Aid England & also received training in supporting adults with neuro-divserse conditions such as dyslexia, autism, dyspraxia & ADHD through Exceptional Individuals.

What to expect from me...
My coaching is very versatile and person centred and is adapted to suit the needs of the person being coached, but no matter what your situation is, I guarantee that you will feel appreciated and supported as together we create a warm environment and a confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and allow us to identify the changes you want to make and the future you wish to have.

We will then move forward at your pace so that you can own the identified changes and finally live that more fulfilled and purposeful life.

As your coach though it is not my role to tell you what to do or even for me to tell you what I would do if I was in your position. However, my job is to listen and support you fully so that I can understand your situation more clearly and then through targeted and professional questioning empower you to think and re-evaluate things from a different outlook so that you can come up with your own solutions.

So what is coaching?
In short coaching helps you to take responsibility and ownership for your life and career to become the person you want to be. It's about you creating the life that you want and deserve, but it is also much, much more.

Would you like to experience how powerful and effective coaching can be?
Working with me will be non judgemental, open, safe and flexible. It will be a partnership where I will facilitate your thoughts, encourage you, champion you, challenge and support you and sometimes will gently push you too if you need it so that we can get the desired results and the positive change you want to see.

Are you still unsure whether coaching is right for you?
I offer a complimentary and no obligation 30 minute introductory session which will provide you with the opportunity to find out if coaching is right for you and for you to also find out more about me too.

Further information

Please see below for some of my recent client feedback;

**Robin has been a kind, thoughtful and encouraging coach. Balancing objectivity with the needs of his clients is a real strength and has benefitted me greatly. In moments of difficulty and frustration, Robin has encouraged me to look beyond my own perspective and consider other POVs and take a look at the bigger picture. Robin is a person-centered coach and has been flexible in his approach for which I am very grateful** AS, Teacher (Manchester)

**Robin made my first coaching experience easy and straightforward. Thanks for supporting, listening, encouraging and challenging me. It was exactly what I needed and have now set strong foundations for moving forward. You’ve really helped me through a difficult business period, thanks again. Can’t recommend Robin highly enough!** SB, Senior Business Manager (Glasgow)

**Robin was very professional in his approach and would always promptly follow up sessions with a summary. He was always interested in what you had to say and would go away and research things for you to look at.** AJ, Support Worker (Birmingham)

**Having never worked with a life coach before I was not sure what to expect. However, from the very beginning Robin made it a very relaxing and safe place to explore what's on your mind. He asks the questions that point you in the right direction in finding your own answers. This is certainly a gift. Sometimes it's just a case of being asked those questions that make things a lot clearer. I really enjoyed my experience working with Robin and would certainly recommend him** SW, Teacher (Valencia, Spain)

**Coaching with Robin was a real treat! It is rare to find someone as engaging and personable. Make no mistake: Robin is a talented coach with skills that I doubt they teach when studying to be a coach (but if that is the case, he makes it look effortless). I always felt like I was in good hands working with Robin, who is genuinely one of the nicest people I have met** SH, Business Owner (London)

**Robin was very caring and helpful. He helped me get new insights into my plans for the future. Very good follow up emails. Thank you** EG, Business Owner (Cambridge)

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a life coach's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the life coach to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
