About me
Life can be confusing for all of us at times. Who am I? Where do I belong? How can I share my gifts with others? When you feel that you or your family are in a muddle and need to find a way to untie the knots I can help you.
This is a journey of discovery, of recognising your potential and acknowledging your strengths, realising you have all the answers you need to achieve your goals.
I have spent the last 30 years helping people to reconnect with what is important to them, inspiring them to move forward on their paths of self discovery, encouraging them to have confidence in who they are and courage to be who they want to be.
I help you to look at your situation with new eyes, to expand your perception and sense of what is possible, to learn to listen to yourself and have the courage you need to take the steps you choose.
For Women - At points of change and challenge, in a world that is increasingly fast paced and demanding, it can be hard to find your way forward. Through changing life circumstances such as divorce, bereavement, menopause and career change My expertise and experience enables me to support you to find your way forward.
I specialise in coaching those who are at transition points in their lives and are looking to improve their self esteem, confidence and motivation. I have a background in self-development and I also offer support for those ready to take their next steps following a bereavement.
For Parents- Having children is a huge gift but at times frustrating and challenging. No one provides us with a map and there is no compass - I have 35 years experience in working together with parents and families, children and adolescents. We are facing increasing challenges with more and more of our young people being diagnosed with mental and emotional health difficulties, increasing demands on time and the breakdown of family community. I am kind, gentle and caring and guide you and your children to find new ways of working and being together as a family to achieve both your family and individual goals.
For Children and Adolescents - I work on a one to one basis with children and young people from 7yrs up. I create a space where the child/young person feels heard and safe to speak. I offer tools that help develop self - esteem, build resilience, learn to trust, manage overwhelming emotions, learn to set goals and achieve them. They learn to develop self belief and self motivation, identify obstacles and set realistic achievable goals. The sessions are designed for each individuals journey.
I am accredited as a senior mentor coach with IAPC&M and a mentor and trainer for Noble Manhattan Child and Adolescent Coach training and the Schools Well-being Alliance.
As the well-being mentor (School life coach) at The King's School Gloucester, I provide a safe confidential space for staff and pupils throughout the school to find solutions to situations they find challenging and stressful.
I am a highly experienced Child and Adolescent Coach and offer both group and individual sessions to pupils and staff in schools, working with friendship issues, family worries, low self confidence, schoolwork stress, anger management, sleep problems, exam stress, feelings of anxiety, overwhelm and self doubt.

TESTIMONIALS
"Emma helped me reach my goals and believe in my future" 14yrs
“Thank you for enabling me to create some structure and sense of purpose in my life with the many tools you equipped me with. I continually move forward with a positive attitude for which I am very grateful! CM
“You are very clear sighted, and I trust you completely to help me through this.” AM
“When I first met with Emma I was completely overwhelmed by all areas of my life. I have never been at ease discussing personal issues, but Emma made this comfortable for me with her caring and calm approach. She has supported me with the challenges I have faced, been non-judgemental, compassionate and firm when needed. Emma has helped me on a journey, which although far from smooth, has enabled me to look at things differently and see that I do have options and choices. She has encouraged me to have the confidence to take small steps to improve things for myself and to set small goals to achieve. I never really believed that talking through things helps, but it does and Emma has helped to stop me ‘falling off the cliff’. 16yrs
"Thank you so much for all that you did and all that you taught me. I think you're a wonderful person and you really helped me and gave me confidence to move forward. You were the just the person I needed on many levels." K.S.
"Thank you so much for your help and guidance this past year. I shall miss our sessions but I am so pleased to feel confident enough to move forward armed with the skills you have equipped me with" C.M.
"I have had several life coaching sessions with Emma Tyer and have found them to be fantastic. I really felt that Emma heard me, properly - really listened and helped me to see through situations that were confusing and stressful to me. It was empowering to have Emma there to help me find my own answers with her skillful guidance. I really don't think I would have got to those answers on my own - or not in any useful time frame! Emma is warm, kind and funny. She is clever and clear too. Her lack of judgement made it possible for me to say things which I may have kept to myself otherwise.
I would highly recommend Emma to anybody who needs help, support or to see the wood for the trees in their life - with big painful issues or small irritating ones." Joanna
"With a knack of swiftly helping to identify areas of my life that I'd like to work on, Emma then very sensitively helped me to prioritise. Over the second and third sessions Emma's gentle energy guided me to find my own answers to the things I felt overwhelming. This clarity has allowed me to feel far more positively about myself and optimistic about my dreams." F.S.
"Before I began working with Emma, I had been feeling genuinely stuck and unhappy in a few areas of my life. The sessions with Emma provided a neutral reflective space where I was able to "think outside of the box" with far greater options than I had previously envisioned. By the third meeting, I had begun concrete steps towards the next phase of my life - in my case, this involved moving house and submitting an MA application. Emma's sensitive listening was instrumental in getting me there." Tatia
“Having Emma as a life coach has been a great experience. Her calm and gentle manner has allowed me to work through my aims at my own pace; always encouraging and supportive, she helped me to achieve without making me feel pressured. One of the nicest feelings of all was to enter into a conversation with Emma, thinking I’d failed to achieve any of the goals I’d set, only to find that I had actually achieved quite a lot! A great boost! I’d recommend Emma to anyone looking to take control of even a small part of their lives.” P.J.
