Michelle McMaster

MRes; BSc(Hons); Mental Health & Trauma Recovery Practitioner

About me

I am a fully accredited Master NLP Practitioner, Brain and Behaviour Change Practitioner with Applied Neuroscience, Motivational Life Coach and CBT Practitioner with professional Diplomas in Psychotherapy and Mindfulness. I am also a professionally qualified Independent Social Worker with experience in family support, learning disability, mental health and suicide prevention, older people, physical disability and sensory impairment.

I have almost 40 years experience working with children and adults who have experienced grief, loss or trauma, with a particular focus on mental health and wellbeing, including suicide prevention. I have worked with individuals and with small groups and larger teams delivering training sessions and/or therapeutic workshops.

I specialise in treating anxiety, depression, phobias and OCD and in supporting people with chronic and enduring mental health concerns or dealing with grief and trauma.

In addition to 1-1 coaching and mentoring, I offer exclusive motivational talks, workshops and retreats which help people make sense of challenging circumstances and find renewed hope and purpose for the future so they can fully enjoy life again.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a life coach's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the life coach to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

My meeting rooms are upstairs, with hand railings on both sides of the stairs. I also arrange alternative meeting venues in consultation with clients, where ground floor or lift access is needed, to ensure anyone can access the support I provide.
