About me
The woman: My name is Liliana and I was born in Brazil. I came to the UK to study English nearly 30 years ago. Then I met a man....married him in 6 months and we have been living together happily ever after. I have a teenage son and a gorgeous dog – called Rio. I have worked in Financial Services for a long time, in Brazil and in the UK, performing several different roles within project and test management – in technology and operations. As part of my role, I mentor apprentices, graduates and junior members of my team. About a year ago, I got interested in coaching - Life Coaching.
The coach: I see myself as a compassionate and open-minded coach. I am relatable, sympathetic, honest and encouraging. My values are kindness, compassion, optimism, equality, justice and freedom.
My style as a coach is to partner with the client on their journey of self-awareness and self-discovery. By helping you (the client) to revisit your values and strengths I act as a sounding board to your inner voices.
Coaching has been a career choice I made late in life. I wanted to have a career that fulfilled me with professional satisfaction. I wanted to feel complete, more independent, happier. I wanted to help people to be happier.
I have been a professional mentor in the Financial Services Industry for over a decade. When I discovered coaching, I knew that I could combine the skills I acquired during mentoring with coaching. That’s when I enrolled on a recognised coaching course and became ICF accredited. The transition to coach was a challenge but I learned to adapt my style in order to help my clients to arrive at their own conclusions to achieve the best outcome to their journey. By encouraging and giving them a safe space to talk and evaluate their thoughts, I help them become more confident to make life-changing decisions or just day-to-day ones. Then, I celebrate with them their achievements.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm a Level 2 ICF accredited Professional Coach with a Diploma from Optimus Coach Academy. I'm currently working on my ICF PCC accreditation. I have 95 hours of registered coaching hours. I work in the financial Services where mentored and coached managers; colleagues; apprentices and graduates for over 10 years. I'm a bachelor in Business and Languages and have a Masters in Business Administration obtained in the UK.
