About me

Trained and qualified at both The Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge and Meyler Campbell - International coaching and leadership training specialists, I am trained in mental health first aid, trauma, safeguarding and have many years experience of life, career and workplace coaching and significant leadership and human resources expertise gained from my work as a CEO, MD and non-executive director.

I have worked extensively in the education sector, in the field of mental health and wellbeing, employment, skills, economic regeneration, arts, youth and criminal justice and I coach a diverse portfolio of clients, including headteachers, CEO's, senior management teams,  business owners, boards, aspiring leaders, experienced and newly qualified teachers, lecturers, students, graduates and people who are unemployed or facing redundancy. 

Warm and empathetic in style, I offer one-to-one and group coaching sessions, workshops and role play.  I specialise in personal development, career and business coaching, building self- confidence, self-esteem.  conflict resolution, creating healthier relationships, providing a safe and confidential space to pinpoint the causes of workplace and family stress, anxiety, the impact and effect of trauma in our lives and on those dealing with complex safeguarding issues and issues relating to ADHD, to develop and implement creative solutions. My approach enables those I work with to feel heard and understood, to optimise their potential, arrive at clear thinking, define their goals and produce effective organisational strategies and personal action plans.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a member of the Association For Coaching. I trained and graduated in coaching after studying a variety of coaching techniques in-depth and fully supervised with Meyler Campbell who are accredited by the European Mentoring & Coaching Council. Prior to this, I trained in leadership and Management at The Judge Business School at Cambridge University and The Leadership Trust. Before establishing my coaching consultancy, I was the driving force behind the creation of the national mental health and wellbeing charity, Education Support, which I led for a decade. I have also worked in commercial sector, the civil service, employment, education, skills training.  economic regeneration, local authorities, youth, the arts and criminal justice sectors.

Currently I work with individuals employed in a variety of roles in schools, hospitals, & charities as well as helping new talent to bond and develop strong teams in a range of businesses.  I also deliver training and development workshops in leadership, customer service, negotiation, presentation, media and interviewing techniques. Clients have included Findacure, BP, Texaco, Marks and Spencer & Royal Sun Alliance. My expertise is in helping individuals and teams resolve relationship issues, deal with difficult conversations, plan career transitions, prepare for interviews and learning how to give interesting, effective & confident presentations & speeches etc. Clients also come to me to learn how to minimise stress and anxiety at work and at home.

The Association is made up of a number of different membership categories, e.g. Associate Member (AMAC), Member (MAC), Accredited Member (AC Accred), with the different categories standing for different levels of training and experience. Accredited Members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Additional information

Choosing a coach is an important decision. It marks your commitment to making positive changes in your life, your career or your business. For this reason, I offer a free thirty minute “chemistry session” for you can ask questions and we can negotiate a package that best meets your needs.

Online and telephone coaching sessions last between one and one and half hours via Zoom, Apple Facetime or Microsoft Teams. Face to face sessions are usually a minimum of two hours.

Single online and telephone sessions are offered at a fixed price, with discounts available for packages of four or more sessions. Face to face work is charged at a higher rate to reflect the additional cost and time involved in travelling.

Group coaching, training sessions and workshops are offered from £650 per day plus travel and overnight accommodation if it is required. Discounts are available for registered charities, voluntary groups, social enterprises and small businesses employing less than five people.
