ADHD Coach (EMCC) | MSc Coaching Psychology | 7 Years Exp.

About me

You're capable, creative, and full of ideas - but still find life harder than it should be. Maybe it’s the constant pull of distractions. The difficulty in following through. Or the sense that no matter how hard you try, things feel messy, inconsistent, or overwhelming.

If that sounds familiar, I want you to know: This doesn't have to hold you back anymore.

I'm a trauma-aware ADHD coach who helps adults feel more in control of their lives, their energy, and their goals.

My approach is grounded in my ADHD trainingpositive psychology and coaching psychology, and shaped by the belief that growth is about discovering what works for you and building on your strengths.

Whether you’re living with a formal ADHD diagnosis or simply relate to the challenges of focus, motivation, and executive functioning, I create a space where you can feel understood, supported, and empowered.

What coaching with me feels like

My clients often describe coaching with me as a space where they feel deeply heard and gently challenged. We’ll explore what’s working, uncover what’s getting in the way, and build sustainable strategies that help you move forward with more ease and confidence.

We might work on:

  • Creating routines and systems that actually stick (and feel doable)
  • Managing emotional overwhelm and overthinking
  • Navigating perfectionism and self-criticism
  • Boosting motivation, self-trust, and follow-through
  • Reducing burnout and building wellbeing from the inside out
  • Setting meaningful goals

Coaching isn’t about being more “productive” for its own sake. It’s about designing a life that works for you - your brain, your values, your pace.

Positive psychology is the science of well-being, strengths, and what helps people flourish, not just survive. It explores how we can experience more positive emotions, build resilience, and create a deeper sense of meaning in life. It’s about learning to flourish at work, in relationships, and within ourselves - even in the presence of difficulty.

Coaching psychology blends psychological theory with coaching practice. It’s about supporting change in a collaborative, structured, and evidence-based way - helping you move forward with greater clarity and self-belief.

Everything I offer is grounded in science and delivered with warmth, flexibility, and humanity.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a typical session look like?
Each session is 50 minutes and takes place online. We begin with what’s most important to you in that moment—whether that’s a challenge, a decision, a feeling, or a goal. We work together to reflect, explore options, and develop practical strategies.

Over time, as we cover more ground and spot recurring patterns, the focus often deepens. We may start to identify core challenges or beliefs that are shaping your experience, and then put greater attention there, where it can make the biggest difference.

How often do we meet?
Most clients start with weekly or fortnightly sessions, depending on their needs and availability. Some space sessions go out more as they build momentum. We’ll agree together on a rhythm that feels right for you.

How long do people usually work with you?
It really varies. Some people come for a focused 3–6 month period to work through a specific goal or phase of life. Others find ongoing coaching helpful over the long term. There’s no pressure or fixed commitment - you’re free to take what you need, when you need it.

Testimonials

"Coaching has been life-transforming for me. It brought out the best in me, restored my confidence and improved my productivity. Being introduced to positive psychology has been healing and life changing for the better.
I gained the ability to self-organise, self-manage, prioritise, (particularly in my work life) and become more compassionate towards myself. The proactive and motivational coaching helped me realize that my ADHD and mental health issues can serve as incentives and assets rather than barriers. I also learned the importance of having a solid routine and structure." - Alex

"A calm and kind approach combined with an ability to listen deeply and ask insightful questions made for an enjoyable and powerful coaching experience. The coaching has helped me to successfully reach goals in different areas of my life, including business and well-being goals" - Paul

"Every session gave me a chance to focus on what was important to me and my progress and I always left feeling empowered, confident and grounded in my ability to achieve my goals whilst celebrating what I had already achieved. "When coached by James I have always felt a higher sense of myself, enhanced connection with who I really am and who I want to become – the fundamentals for me to achieve my personal goals whilst developing my life path. James' caring, attentive, focused, and listening way of being in the moment has enabled me to have fun, laugh, relax, and experience novel sides within me at the same time as discovering sensitive and vulnerable parts of myself. I was provided with the space to uncover new potentials within me and break through unhelpful patterns – James brought his full self into the coaching session and I have benefitted from his great humour, warmth, and humanity. In coaching, I am not hiding or holding back anything – I feel fully accepted and heard. James supported me to overcome long-lasting fears while making me challenge myself and try out characteristics and steps I would have never thought would be possible to explore. Thank you for making me more self-aware and overcoming the challenges which have held me back for a long time – in multiple contexts in life. Now I can sincerely say how relieved, enlightened, and “whole” I feel about myself" - Sandra

How I work

All sessions are held online via Google Meet, allowing you to join from the comfort of your own space. This makes coaching flexible, accessible, and easy to fit around a busy life. You're welcome to keep your camera on or off - whatever helps you feel most at ease.

Each session lasts 50 minutes. Some clients choose to work with me weekly or fortnightly for a set number of sessions, while others prefer a more open-ended approach. Together, we can decide what rhythm works best for you.

Many people find that as we explore different areas, key patterns or core challenges begin to emerge - and that’s where we can go deeper and focus on what really makes the biggest difference.

My way of working is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based approaches. I blend coaching psychology and positive psychology with a trauma-aware lens. That means I bring structure and psychological depth, but always with sensitivity to your experience and nervous system.

You’ll never be judged or rushed. My role is to offer calm, clear support as you build the clarity, confidence, and strategies to move forward on your own terms.

Sessions are fully confidential. I keep brief notes to support your progress, which are stored securely and never shared.

Sessions can be booked individually or in blocks. I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling, otherwise, the full fee may apply. I’ll always do my best to be flexible and understanding where possible.
