About me
You're capable, creative, and full of ideas - but still find life with ADHD hard sometimes. Maybe it’s the constant pull of distractions. The difficulty in following through on things that matter. Or the sense that things often feel messy, inconsistent, or overwhelming.
If that sounds familiar... I'm James, an ADHD coach who helps those with ADHD feel more in control of their lives, their energy, and their goals.
My approach is based on my ADHD training, my qualification in coaching psychology, and my personal experience as someone with ADHD. Over my many years coaching clients, I've discovered that growth looks different for each person. It's about discovering what works for you, and that changes session by session as you develop your understanding and agency.
Whether you’re living with a formal ADHD diagnosis or simply relate to the challenges of focus, time-blindness, and a lack of natural executive functioning, I create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered.
What coaching with me feels like
My clients often describe coaching with me as a space where they feel deeply heard and gently challenged. We’ll explore what’s working, uncover what’s getting in the way, and build sustainable strategies that help you move forward with more ease and confidence.
We might work on:
- Creating unique routines and systems that work for you
- Unpicking procrastination and developing plans to reduce it
- Identifying key relationships and situations where ADHD isn't serving you and making changes
- Setting meaningful goals, learning how ADHD gets in the way, and working out how to reach them regardless
We start from where you are. Over time, based on your uniquely significant challenges, opportunities, circumstances, and preferences, we construct a strategy of positive change.
Coaching is about me facilitating a space where you can design a life that works for you - your brain, your values, your pace.
Coaching psychology blends psychological theory with coaching practice. It’s about supporting change in a collaborative, structured, and evidence-based way - helping you move forward with greater clarity and self-belief.
Everything I offer is grounded in science and delivered with warmth, flexibility, and humanity.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a typical session look like?
Each session is 50 minutes and takes place online or in person. We begin with what’s most important to you in that moment—whether that’s a goal, challenge, or a recent difficulty or reflection. We work together to reflect, paint a nice full picture, creatively explore options for forward progress, and develop practical strategies, tactics and habits.
Over time, we cover more ground and spot recurring patterns. We identify core challenges and put attention where it can make the biggest difference.
How often do we meet?
It's really up to you. Most clients start with weekly sessions, depending on their needs and availability. Some clients pay through access to work and how often depending on the level of funding they received. We’ll agree together on a rhythm that feels right for you.
How long do people usually work with you?
It really varies. Most typically is between 6 months and a year, but some have been working with me on and off for multiple years. There’s no pressure or fixed commitment - you’re free to take what you need, when you need it.

The proactive and motivational coaching helped me realize that my ADHD and mental health issues can serve as incentives and assets rather than barriers. I also learned the importance of having a solid routine and structure." AE - Support Worker in Mental Health Hospital

I really enjoyed my coaching journey with James. He was very professional and asked interesting questions allowing me to unlock my vision of what I really want. James helped me to focus on solutions so I could get closer to my goals with each session. He is also a very nice person with a warm and compassionate approach. Highly recommend him as a coach! James’ coaching has left me with genuine life changing skills. He has helped guide me towards being a stronger individual who can put up good healthy boundaries. The skills and lessons I have learned have been beyond beneficial and have helped me in all areas of my life. This in turn has helped me become more confident in myself and my abilities so I cannot thank him enough for that. It was honestly just fantastic and extremely effective because it puts in place steps that I am now able to go through myself.
James’ coaching encouraged independence and that is what really worked so well for me. It also encouraged a forward focus, acknowledging what has happened, not disregarding it as I had done previously, but then instead of just focusing on the past and the negative, we would then look at where to go from there, how to grow from the situation. How I work
All sessions are held online via Google Meet, allowing you to join from the comfort of your own space. This makes coaching flexible, accessible, and easy to fit around a busy life. You're welcome to keep your camera on or off - whatever helps you feel most at ease.
Each session lasts 50 minutes. Some clients choose to work with me weekly or fortnightly for a set number of sessions, while others prefer a more open-ended approach. Together, we can decide what rhythm works best for you.
Many people find that as we explore different areas, key patterns or core challenges begin to emerge - and that’s where we can go deeper and focus on what really makes the biggest difference.
My way of working is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based approaches. I blend coaching psychology and positive psychology with a trauma-aware lens. That means I bring structure and psychological depth, but always with sensitivity to your experience and nervous system.
You’ll never be judged or rushed. My role is to offer calm, clear support as you build the clarity, confidence, and strategies to move forward on your own terms.
Sessions are fully confidential. I keep brief notes to support your progress, which are stored securely and never shared.
Sessions can be booked individually or in blocks. I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling, otherwise, the full fee may apply. I’ll always do my best to be flexible and understanding where possible.
