Career Transition Coach - BSc Psych, ICF ACC

About me

Most of us spend more time at work than with our family or friends. So it stands to reason that our career is a big part of our identity.

It’s a source of fulfilment, success and security.

But what happens when it’s not?

A career transition means making your way through the wild unknown.

Will I get through it? Will I make it a success? Will I fail?

And when you’ve dug through these concerns, the question that lies at the bottom of the well is the most important one:

Who am I?

Career transitions challenge who we thought we were.

You face the joy and freedom of carving your own path. A path of meaning, purpose and impact. And it can also confront you with your gremlins. The imposter syndrome, self-doubt, fear of failure.

Navigating such moments of career transitions can feel overwhelming, exhausting and very lonely.

But they don’t have to be.

Did you know?

2021 research shows that the vast majority of employees suffer from work-related stress, many of whom have experienced burnout in the last 12 months (amplified by the Covid-19 pandemic). Most of them are women.

But this isn’t right. Stress and burnout shouldn’t be the norm.

Deep down in your heart, how do you want your work to be?

My Story

“I sense some nervousness in your tone” said the voice on the other end of the line.

I was nervous. But not about making a significant investment to train as a coach, like he thought.

I was scared about the future. The unknown. Where I’m going.

And I was even more scared of the past. The health issues. The agonising back pain every night. The complete exhaustion and brain fog. The heavy feeling of dissatisfaction and lack of purpose.

I didn’t know who I was.

But I knew it wasn’t this.

I asked myself: If things continue like this, where will I be in 2 years’ time?

My body was pleading to stop the stress I was putting on myself. My soul was aching for something more purposeful. HR Director was a recognition of my self-worth and hard work, but I couldn’t do it anymore.

I burnt out.

Help came from an unexpected source. When I felt like I was sinking, career coaching helped me stay afloat. It helped me get clear on what I truly want in my life, and then to create a plan of action to bridge where I was, with where I wanted to be. I worked with a caring, empathic and insightful coach who helped me find life after burnout - and follow my own path as a coach.

My overall health improved. The back pains were gone. I could walk normally again. As I became less and less tired, my brain felt more and more clear.

I was doing work that was worth waking up for every morning.

As the mental clouds started to disperse, along with society’s expectations of what I should be doing, I started to uncover something quiet, gentle, waiting to be found:

I found myself.

And that’s what I want for you as well.

You deserve to find yourself. To make this next stage of your career a success, on your own terms. To carve your own path and live it true to your own values.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.” - Steve Jobs

How I help you

I’ll help you navigate important career transitions such as:

  • Transitioning into your first leadership position
  • Navigating particularly stressful periods, exhaustion or life after burnout
  • Changing jobs or industries
  • Leaving corporate and starting a business

These moments of career transition, are in fact, beautiful opportunities wrapped within adversity or anxiety. They are opportunities to find ourselves.

When you find yourself, then no matter what happens on the outside, you have the inner certainty of who you are. And that can never be shaken, eroded or taken away from you.

When you know who you are, you can do your best work and make the biggest impact. The  one you’re here to make. No compromises. Find your way - and yourself.

Here’s how:

  1. Send me a message
  2. We’ll arrange a time for a brief 15 min phone chat
  3. Fall in love with work - and your life.

Send me that message now.
