About me

Hello, thank you for looking at my coaching profile.

I have coached and mentored many people in my career to date, covering leadership development, career change and personal challenges in the workplace including ADHD. I use different coaching models and tools, dependant on the individuals learning style and the goals they want to achieve.

My approach to coaching is always coachee led, providing a supportive and safe space to learn and reflect so that the coachee has the best experience, focusing on their strengths to reach their full potential.

I am calm and empathetic with curiosity and compassion for others to develop, grow and be the best they can. I am committed to encouraging equality, diversity, and inclusion in the coaching and mentoring work I do by embracing differences and respecting the uniqueness of every individual.

I am a qualified professional coach and mentor and I have 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Organisational Development. I have worked in public and private sector organisations, small and large and global companies.

In addition, I work for Lexxic as an Associate Coach supporting neurodivergent individuals in the workplace.  I also work as a volunteer for the CIPD Trust as a Mentor supporting parents returning to the work.

What can I do for you?

My role as a coach is to work with you to achieve better results in your chosen area, outcomes that you might not achieve without the support, accountability and expertise of a qualified coach.

You can expect to experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, new ideas and tools, enhanced thinking and decision-making skills, enhanced interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence. Please see some testimonials below.

Testimonials:

After a long research and many interviews with other coaches I came across Shona and found my ADHD friendly coach, as part of my Access to work. I was really struggling to cope at work and things were getting progressively worse for me. Shona was my rock in a moment of need and transition, providing encouragement, understanding, and maintaining accountability in a supportive manner. She went far and beyond to support my needs. Her exceptional level of support exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend her services to others.

All the coaching sessions have been organised and professional. Shona has suggested a range of tools and resources which have been really useful. Shona has an approachable manner and is definitely a very good listener, this has helped me to open up and articulate key issues that I wanted to work on through the coaching process. I have felt supported exploring issues that have been challenging like imposter syndrome and it has been really helpful to have the space and time to reflect and work through this in the sessions.

My sessions with Shona were hugely rewarding. We hit it off from the start and she was fantastic at cultivating a genuine connection between us that helped ensure that our sessions were always a place of honesty and creativity. We covered so much ground. I came away feeling challenged in a good way, invariably with a fresh perspective, and workable solutions to real world problems. Our time working together has really stuck with me"

Shona was a delightful mentor, naturally empathetic, supportive, and encouraging when reviewing my options to develop my business further. We used a range of creative tools that helped me organise and explore my next steps and goals, giving me the confidence to make some real changes!
