About me

Hello, thank you for looking at my coaching profile. I have 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Organisational Development. I have worked in public and private sector organisations, small and large and global companies.

What can I do for you?

My role as a coach is to work with you to achieve better results in your chosen area, outcomes that you might not achieve without the support, accountability and expertise of a qualified coach.

You can expect to experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, new ideas and tools, enhanced thinking and decision-making skills, enhanced interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence.

My approach

My approach to coaching is coachee lead, I always start by listening to your needs and work with you so that you have the best experience. It will mean asking questions, sometimes challenging ones but always done in a safe space so that you can find answers for yourself.

I am committed to encouraging equality, diversity, and inclusion in the coaching and mentoring work I do by embracing differences and respecting the uniqueness of every individual and their potential.

Some of the many benefits of coaching include:

✓ Improved performance and productivity

✓ Improved career development

✓ Enhanced relationships and engagement

✓ Improved job satisfaction and retention

✓ Increased self-awareness and confidence

✓ Better communication and interpersonal skills

✓ Greater focus, attention and well-being

What to expect?

  1. Discovery call – opportunity to find out a bit more and decide if coaching is right for you.
  2. Agreement – this is about how we will work together. We will draw up an agreement which will cover confidentiality, ethics, goals, length, and frequency of the session.
  3. Coaching session – I will explore with you what you would like to achieve in each session. This would typically last an hour with six sessions being about average, however sessions can be one off or over a longer period of time.
  4. Actions at the end of each session for you to work on.
  5. Interim review, feedback, and evaluation.
  6. Support materials and use of psychometric tools as required.

If you would like to know more about what coaching could offer you or your organisation, please get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.

Further information

"My sessions with Shona were hugely rewarding. We hit it off from the start and she was fantastic at cultivating a genuine connection between us that helped ensure that our sessions were always a place of honesty and creativity. We covered so much ground. I came away feeling challenged in a good way, invariably with a fresh perspective, and workable solutions to real world problems. Our time working together has really stuck with me."

"Shona was a delightful mentor, naturally empathetic, supportive, and encouraging when reviewing my options to develop my business further. We used a range of creative tools that helped me organise and explore my next steps and goals, giving me the confidence to make some real changes!"

"All the coaching sessions have been organised and professional. Shona has suggested a range of tools and resources which have been really useful. Shona has an approachable manner and is definitely a very good listener, this has helped me to open up and articulate key issues that I wanted to work on through the coaching process. I have felt supported exploring issues that have been challenging like imposter syndrome and it has been really helpful to have the space and time to reflect and work through this in the sessions".
