About me
I help driven individuals to manage fear & self-doubt so that they can live confidently and achieve everything they desire.
How can I help you?
I want to support you to feel confident and empowered in your life by enabling you to set a clear vision of how you want to feel, learn how to manage your inner critic so that it no longer holds you back, maintain a more positive mindset so that you believe in yourself fully, take action to set and achieve the goals that you desire. I can help you to process your feelings and experiences in a safe environment so that your experiences are no longer what hold you back and are instead what drive you forward.
Where did my journey start?
You guessed it, I’ve been there!
People pleasing, compromising core parts of who I am, feeling embarrassed to share my true thoughts, feelings and the things that I enjoy (or don’t enjoy), worrying what people think of me, holding back from pursuing my goals...I’ve been there.
I’ve read all the self-development books under the sun (or at least it feels like it!) and I began to coach myself through these experiences so that I feel confident in myself and able to achieve my goals. I’ve worked with a number different coaches too and personal growth and development is a life long journey for me because it's what I love.
Training, qualifications & experience
What does my working experience look like?
I have been supporting young people and adults for over 10 years. During that time I have worked in lots of different settings, in both paid and voluntary roles including supporting adults and young people with bereavement, addiction, offending behaviour and more. My goal is and always has been, to help all individuals cultivate self-acceptance, build inner strength and confidence and reach their full potential.
I fundamentally believe in coaching… both in getting support from a coach and learning to be your own coach. It’s an exciting, empowering and HUGELY rewarding process… of course like everything, it’s challenging, you have to draw upon your determination, drive and commitment…but you owe that to yourself. Of course, I wish it was the case but coaches aren’t magic...They are just great at understanding you, encouraging you, empowering you, giving you the techniques and skills and holding you accountable!
What qualifications do I have?
BA (Hon) in Sociology (2014), Certificate in Life Coaching (2017), Diploma in Life Coaching (2018), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Level One (2019) and Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Accredited by ABNLP (2020).
I am also trained in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma and Attachment informed practice, Mental Health First Aid, Cognitive Behavioural Approaches and I am currently studying Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (training due to complete in July 2021).
I am also a member of the Life Coaching Directory and Association for Coaches.
So, in supporting clients, I draw upon a range of qualifications and experience, making my support holistic and individualised. This, paired with my absolute passion for supporting others, makes a great recipe. I absolutely believe that every single person, no matter what their past experiences may be or who they are… are capable of living a truly content, fulfilling and meaningful life...with the right tools, perspective and self-belief.
