About me

I help driven individuals who are feeling overwhelmed with self-doubt so that they feel confident, empowered and purposeful, without changing who they are! Since you’re sat here reading this right now, something tells me you are feeling pretty stuck and you’re ready to take back control of your life …but you’re just not sure where to start?

How can I help you?

I want to support you to feel CONFIDENT and EMPOWERED in YOUR life by enabling you to set a CLEAR VISION of how you want to feel, learn how to manage your INNER CRITIC, create a more positive mindset, take action and start loving and accepting WHO YOU REALLY ARE. I can help you to process your feelings and experiences in a safe environment, whilst holding you accountable to make the changes that YOU DESERVE.

Where did my journey start?

You guessed it, I’ve been there!

People pleasing, compromising core parts of who I am, feeling embarrassed to share my true thoughts, feelings and the things that I enjoy (or don’t enjoy), worrying what people think of me, hiding away and feeling unable to show up, be seen or be heard… I’ve been there!

I’ve read all the self-development books under the sun (or at least it feels like it!) and I began to coach myself through these experiences so that I feel more confident, more able to be true to myself and more able to manage the patterns and traps that our minds like to fall into! Don’t get me wrong…it’s an ongoing journey for all of us. But, it’s a journey I’ve learnt to love! I began to and continue to, love inner work, personal growth and development, reflection, learning and trying to be the best version of myself, embracing my introverted nature and helping others to do the same. I continue to be my own coach (!), but I’ve worked with different coaches too and I feel more confident and at peace with myself and my life, than ever before!

Training, qualifications & experience

What does my working experience look like?

I have been supporting young people and adults for over 10 years. During that time I have worked in lots of different settings, in both paid and voluntary roles including supporting adults and young people with bereavement, addiction, offending behaviour and more. My goal is and always has been, to help young people and adults cultivate self-acceptance, build inner strength and confidence and reach their full potential…without changing who they are! These are things that are really important to me and an ongoing journey for everyone.

In 2018, I set up Your Next Chapter, so that I could help and support more people. I am so passionate about helping people to build the awareness, resilience and confidence to be the best version of themselves… each and every one of my clients inspires me in some way and I absolutely LOVE what I do. I fundamentally believe in coaching… both in getting support from a coach and learning to be your own coach. It’s an exciting, empowering and HUGELY rewarding process… of course like everything, it’s challenging, you have to draw upon your determination, drive and commitment…but you owe that to yourself! Of course, I wish it was the case but coaches aren’t magic! They are just great at understanding you, encouraging you, empowering you, giving you the techniques and skills and holding you accountable!

What qualifications do I have?

BA (Hon) in Sociology (2014), Certificate in Life Coaching (2017) and Diploma in Life Coaching (2018).

I am also trained in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma and Attachment, Mental Health First Aid, Cognitive Behavioural Approaches and I am currently studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming (training due to complete in October 2020) and Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (training due to complete in July 2021).

I am also a member of the Life Coaching Directory and Association for Coaches.

So, in supporting clients, I draw upon a range of qualifications and experience, making my support holistic and individualised. This, paired with my absolute passion for supporting others, makes a great recipe! I absolutely believe that every single person, no matter what their past experiences may be or who they are… are capable of living a truly content, fulfilling and meaningful life. With the right tools, perspective and self-belief, I feel sure that all individuals are capable of overcoming unhelpful patterns of thinking or behaviour, cultivating self-acceptance and achieving their goals.
