About me

An experienced Executive Coach (Accredited Senior Practitioner, MEMCC) and Psychotherapist (MA, MBACP), my integrated approach helps clients thrive by combining the solutions-focused structure and energy of coaching with the psychological insight, emotional depth and healing power of psychotherapy.

With a strong business background of leadership experience, my collaborative and creative way of working with clients is underpinned by psychotherapeutic principles of enhancing self-awareness and self-acceptance, to enable authentic and sustainable change to be achieved. I specialise in leadership and career development, alleviating anxiety, managing ADHD and neurodiversity, and achieving optimal work-life balance. With a warm, energetic and compassionate way of being, I draw on a wide coaching and therapy toolkit along with an understanding of career and workplace challenges, to tailor my approach to the unique challenges and goals of each client.

My philosophy and approach

The solutions-focused ‘3 Cs’ coaching strategy works holistically to support clients to create clarity, confidence and change. My background and skillset enable me to provide the structure and framework necessary to facilitate forward momentum, whilst also working at emotional depth when valuable for client wellbeing and alleviating distress. My psychologically-informed approach integrates humanistic, psychodynamic, and CBT ways of working to help clients understand their cognitive and emotional responses in the here-and-now, clarify their strengths, and identify previously unconscious unhelpful narratives and self-limiting beliefs.

The process is interactive and dynamic, and while we'll delve deeply into the challenges you're facing, there will be moments of levity and fun too. Sometimes we will just talk and explore, but we'll often create a written record of our session together for you to reflect on, in the form of notes, a diagram, or a plan of action. Sessions usually take place fortnightly or monthly, and we may agree work to be undertaken between sessions, such as practising a new skill (e.g. regulating the nervous system) or taking the next step towards achieving an objective. Clients experience enhanced resilience and performance in the short-term and are supported to develop helpful techniques and coping strategies to ensure coaching goals and longer-term sustainable change is achieved.

Specialist areas include:

  • Leadership development; career coaching
  • Anxiety, depression, perfectionism and procrastination, addiction and compulsive behaviours, trauma
  • Emotional dysregulation; anger management
  • ADHD and neurodivergence
  • Imposter syndrome: enhancing self-belief, self-confidence, and sense of identity
  • Creating optimal and sustainable work-life balance
  • Relationship difficulties; understanding attachment style
  • Strength clarification; resilience enhancement; blocks and barrier removal
  • Mindfulness, with neuroscientific & polyvagal theory influences
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

My clients

While many of my clients are business leaders, the ‘3 Cs’ principles of achieving clarity, confidence and change are successfully applied to all emotional, academic, personal or business challenges, regardless of age, gender, or professional status.  My approach works well for all individuals who enjoy working creatively and collaboratively, are psychologically curious and open to challenge, and are motivated to achieve the changes that will enable them to thrive.  A commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is central to my core personal values.

Further information

"Lucy coached me at a crucial time in my career, a time when I needed clear thinking, direction and sound actionable advice. Lucy’s ability to understand, appreciate and bring clarity to our sessions, provided me with the focus that I needed and I was able to follow up with action and progress each time. All of this came with Lucy’s calm and warm personality, which created the perfect environment for me to open up and explore exactly what I needed. I highly recommend Lucy to anyone who is looking to take a confident step forward in their career."

Chief Strategy Director, Media Agency

"Working with Lucy process helped me to get clarity and control over my feelings and my actions. I was in a very dark place when I started the process...I felt trapped in my own thoughts and I'd lost hope.  Working with Lucy helped me to unpack those emotions and thoughts, analyse them critically and put together a plan to help deal with them.  It helped enormously that Lucy. has expertise in both the personal and professional spheres.  I honestly wasn't sure whether it would be more useful to approach this from the coaching or therapy side, but in the end I think it's ultimately a false division - they're so intertwined.  We bring our baggage from one into the other constantly. And that meant that as we danced across that line, we could deal with how one impacts the other. That was absolutely invaluable. I now feel capable of moving forward with my life and moving toward my career goals."

Brand Director, Global Entertainment Company

"My sessions with Lucy have quite simply been life changing. Her warm nature and energy had me feeling at ease from the get go. Lucy has helped me to heal, build and improve on myself and other relationships, which has had such a positive impact on my life and those around me. She has given me the confidence and skills that I need to carry me forward, far beyond our sessions which is invaluable."
