About me

I've worked one to one with people for 12 years first as a mindfulness teacher and then as a transformational coach. I believe that if I can help you to connect with yourself, you will find your own answers. In service of this I offer empowering questions and roadmaps that open you up to pathways you didn't know were there.

I'm very approachable, informal and friendly, and have a knack for helping people see new horizons. I enable people to find what is most important to them, and get free of what is holding them back. I have a very kind approach and will never judge you, as I believe we are all always worthy of compassion. However I will happily challenge you, if you want to be challenged!

The wonder of inner transformation never ceases to amaze me, and, I know how hard is can be sometimes. I've been on a long journey with this myself and am now mostly free of chronic pain and having much less relationship difficulties - I'm not expecting a perfect life! I feel very honoured to be part of people's life journeys in my work as a coach. I hope you will feel inspired to experiment with how change and growth may be possible for you. If so get in touch :-)

''I couldn't recommend Fay enough. I was in a rut and was lacking in Motivation. My sessions with Fay were the  kick-start I needed. It gave me back my confidence & excitement for my future. Thank you so much Fay ❤''  Erika Neher

''Coaching sessions with Fay were a total joy. With her gentle presence, she created an atmosphere of trust in which I always felt 100% understood, sometimes without words. No topic was too big to bring, no topic was too small either, and whatever we were working on, her questions led me to understand what the issue really was about. It’s this deeper understanding that helped me to move away from wanting to cure symptoms only. Drawing on both, her training in coaching as well as her experience as a mindfulness teacher, Fay’s approach is flexible and personal. I am extremely grateful for her support and warmly recommend her as a coach. '' Medea Bindewald

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained as a transformational coach with the Needs Based Coaching Institute. The magic of my training comes from the influences of NVC (Non-Violent Communication), IFS (Internal Family Systems), mindfulness and mindful compassion, including Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) practices, Resonant Healing which is a neuroscience-informed approach to healing in a coaching context, and Buddhist psychology.

I've been practicing meditation for almost 20 years and see this as an essential backdrop to my ability to coach. I turned to mindfulness as a way to cope with chronic pain in my mid-20s. This led me to live for 6 years on the Holy Isle, a Buddhist-run (but very open-minded) retreat centre off the west coast of Scotland. Here I gradually healed my chronic pain through self-awareness and self-compassion.

I have been teaching mindfulness and compassion as an Honorary Fellow of Aberdeen University on their Studies in Mindfulness MSc for around 10 years. I'm also a mindfulness teacher trainer and supervisor.

I live in Herefordshire with my partner Gareth and my 6 year old son Sylvan.
