About us
Hello I'm Nicola and I co-run an organisation called Nurturing Hope.
We provide holistic emotional wellbeing and mental health support services tailored to meet individual needs.
We offer services flexibly, including outdoors in local natural spaces to help people reconnect with themselves, decompress from the stress of modern day life and engage in self reflection.
I have experience in working with adults, young people and families; my focus is to provide a safe space to explore life challenges and work together to create positive changes.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked within mental health and wellbeing services for nearly 15 years, during this time I have supported people with severe mental health conditions in acute mental health settings, developed and worked within community wellbeing hubs for children and families and worked in various voluntary and NHS services.
I am a qualified coach and currently on a post-graduate diploma to become an integrative play therapist. These roles enable me to offer different creative and holistic approaches when supporting individuals and families.
I have a degree in Sociology and I have a Masters in Childhood and Youth; I completed a post-graduate qualification for leadership in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services and have a Level 3 Counselling qualification.
To support my passion around nature and the outdoors I completed training to become and Eco-sensory Practitioner, integrating nature-based activities into my coaching practice too.
I am registered with Play Therapy UK and maintain all professional requirements for coaching and eco-sensory practice also.
