About me

Coming from a background of healthcare, education and activism myself, I am particularly focussed on supporting people with a passion for making a positive impact in the world, who need breathing space to unpack the challenges that such work brings.  People who may feel overwhelmed, drained or disillusioned with existing within a dysfunctional system, and who want to reconnect with what is really meaningful to them, regain their mojo and feel excited to start putting energy into the things in life that really matter.  Having experiened burnout and demoralisation myself, I'm keen to help others avoid and recover from that, to create unique and fulfilling ways of life that break free from the expectations that have been put upon us by society.  My coaching supports you to tune into yourself, unpack the messiness of real life, and respond to yourself with greater compassion.

As a white cis woman, I recognise that I will have different experiences of privilege/oppression than some of my clients, and I maintain a strong practice of reflection to interrogate how that might impact upon the coaching experience.  I welcome and value different perspectives, and maintain an attitude of curiosity and respect for every individual's expertise on themself.  My personal background is one of mixed heritage (half English, half Ashkenazi Jewish), which has contributed to an interest in issues of identity, belonging and intergenerational trauma, having explored this in relation to myself, my family (and friends), and my grandparents' refugee experience.

Many years of reflection on my own unconventional career path myself (from junior doctor, to senior lecturer, to individual and team coaching), makes me conscious of the ways in which personal identities and histories interweave with our work-related identities, and the impact that these have on stress/burnout and vice versa.

I provide 1:1 coaching (online via Zoom or in person in London) as well as group coaching and bespoke workshops centred around preventing burnout and building compassionate listening spaces.
