About me

"I wanted someone who could be empathetic and objective and Sally is both in bucket loads. Sally gave me the tools to enable me to order my thoughts and priorities, and to set boundaries empowering me to navigate both my personal and professional life with clarity. Sally promotes a 'moving forward' approach which I find I use almost daily. Four months on from my most recent session I feel that the foundations laid by Sally continue to strengthen and develop. I cannot recommend Sally highly enough and I very much look forward to working with her again".

Gillian NHS Consultant, Somerset - 2021

Are you looking for personal, career or stress-related coaching & mentoring?

Drawing on my experience and training, I will work with you to gain insight, clarity and create goals - personal to you - that you are really motivated to achieve, support you in overcoming 'obstacles' and build a realistic personal plan to take you where you want to go.

  • Experiencing the physical, emotional and/or behavioural signs of pressure overload, overhwelmed or feeling that you are on the verge of burnout?
  • At a career or life crossroads due to redundancy, stagnation, boredom, fear?
  • Facing challenges and want to make changes but don’t know where to start?
  • Returning to work after an extended period away or following redundancy?
  • Ready to make some big life decisions and a plan for the future?
  • Facing challenges at home or work, possibly self-sabotaging, and want to create clarity and positive change to move forward?
  • Are you currently be in a job and unsure about your 'position' or how to move to the next level or have you taken a break from work for a variety of reason from redundancy to raising a family?

You may be at a tipping point and want to work with a coach to decide if now is the time to make a change - or not - and how big that change will be.  Some of my clients have made a complete career or lifestyle change as a result of the coaching process while others have improved their work or personal situation by addressing confidence issues, gaining a new perspective and making many smaller changes to achieve their overall - and personal to them - life goals.

I have specialised in career, pressure overload (stress) and personal life coaching and mentoring, working with individuals with careers across the spectrum (from authors, architects and full-time domestic goddesses to students, lawyers, IT consultants, teachers and medical professionals).

Key reasons two clients recently said they would recommend Sally:

"Sally has strong rapport, high social and life intelligence, inherent understanding of people and life having had her own set of life challenges, strong guidance and personable, perceptive style. "

"As a life coach I found Sally professional, approachable and constructive but the key reason for me choosing her was who she is - a woman who has had a significant career change and who has to juggle the demands of work, partner, children, etc."

I will work with you, in complete confidence, to deliver real and practical results personally and/or professionally.  You can gain clarity about what you really want to achieve in your life, in the short, medium or long term and how you can make the changes and take the actions you want to achieve them, whether that be confidence building or working together to create a personal development plan.

Coaching sessions usually take place face to face or online (Zoom), run for 45 minutes - 1 hr and cost £45 per meeting or £270 for six meetings plus a follow-up bonus seventh meeting, 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.  Saturdays between 10am and 12 noon. Face to face coaching is available in the Bath area.

Training, qualifications & experience

I  am a qualified life coach and have the LCH Diploma in Life Coaching. I have trained with Europe’s life coaching pioneer, Curly Martin, and also with the UK College of Life Coaching.  I also completed Primary Certificate in Stress Management training.

I previously worked in Public Relations - up to managing director level - for over twenty years for global and UK based, blue chip businesses, brands and charities. Core skills include business development, strategic planning, operations and implementation, problem solving, new business and presentations, people management, delegation, training and marketing integration.

On a personal level, I am a working mum of two and, after over 20 years in industry, now run my own business.  I appreciate the challenges of juggling career and family and the desire to make the most of what you have.  I've managed teams of people and know what work expects from you and what I would expect from those I employed.  I've talked myself out of jobs and coached myself into my ideal life and now have a portfolio career and blended life.

I have relevant experience and expertise both professionally and personally to encourage and support you to overcome the unique and varied obstacles you encounter day to day.

Other areas of coaching I deal with

I specialise in life (personal development & work/life balance), career and confidence coaching.

Many of us suffer from self doubt from time to time and could do with a confidence boost as well as a clear sense of direction.  Life is a juggling act at the best of times and we can lose sight of all the balls let alone keep them all in the air at the same time!  Life coaching will enable you to review your whole life and work out what is important about each of the aspects of your life and how to enhance and elevate them.

Work can make up a huge part of our lives and can take over if we're not careful - while it only make up a fraction of our life circle, it can invade all areas of our life, not least because it funds what we can do in so many areas of our life.   You may be considering a complete change or just require a few tweaks to the way work is going currently to make a real difference across your life.  Life coaching can help you gain clarity about what is important to you and what change is required to potentially not only improve your work life but your life outside of work.

Chris – Architect
As a result of coaching I was able to get a new job and focus on my long term life goals. It’s simple but if you are struggling to achieve what you want in your life it’s a good way to get focused on areas of your life you want to change/improve. Definitely money well spent!

Sacha - Historic Buildings

I am really glad I did it.... taking action shifted my attitude and broke the vicious circle of pessimism and lack of confidence I was in.  Sally's advice focused and motivated me to get on with specific tasks in a clever way and her input gave me the confidence to do things a different way, she challenged me to think and act differently.

Sarah - Charity sector

My biggest accomplishments as a result of life coaching with Sally were moving on and getting my life back, attending to my own interests rather than supporting everyone elses. I feel more positive and in control.  I have the tools to move forward and I am looking forward to starting my new job.

Karen – Children’s Author

Sally is an excellent life coach, and someone I’d wholeheartedly recommend. She’s warm and approachable, and offers excellent advice – she really is very good at what she does! I was coached towards both professional and personal goals, and introduced to a new way of thinking challenges through and how to tackle them, which I found extremely helpful.  Getting issues I wanted to resolve pinned down as specific goals allowed me to clarify and focus on what I wanted to achieve and it was clear how I should work towards success, as Sally was there to help and support every step of the way.

Mel - Marketer

“I have turned to Sally many times during my career, she was a really important part of my successful progression from manager to director level and someone who helps you to really see the bigger picture and work out what’s important to you and how to get what you want. What sets Sally apart from other career & life coaches is that she has had a very successful career herself holding senior positions in fast paced businesses. This means that when you’re talking to her about the challenges you face in and out of work she gets where you’re coming from and understands exactly what it’s like to be in that position. I would recommend her highly to professional women who want to get some clarity and focus in to their lives in and outside of the workplace.”

Liz - Personnel

“Being coached by Sally proved invaluable to me both personally and professionally at a time when I was juggling the demands of establishing a new job role whilst preparing for the arrival of my first child. Sally helped me to identify my core values and align these to a set of personal and professional goals to keep me focused during a time of significant change, whilst being a great sounding board and source of advice along the way.”
