About me

Coaching is a powerful, goal-driven process that helps you find your own solutions to life's challenges, allowing you to get from where you are now to where you want (and deserve!) to be. If you are looking for a new direction, struggling to find clarity of thought or need help to become 'unstuck', coaching could be just the thing you've been waiting to discover.

Find new found confidence through coaching, or understand the origin of those limiting beliefs that are holding you back. Unravel muddled thinking and experience 'eureka' moments when you finally see the way forward. Discover, and believe, that you are 'enough'.

Coaching can be an emotional experience but here you'll find a safe and entirely non-judgemental space in which to explore and order your thoughts. I'll travel alongside you all the way. And of course, complete confidentiality is assured.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained as a coach in 2015 and since then have worked with individuals, corporate clients, charities and senior school pupils, delivering 1-2-1 and group coaching and training.

  • Qualified as a coach through RD1st Relational Dynamics (with distinction) 2015
  • Coaching Skills for Leadership Course (RD1st) Summer 2020
  • RD1st 'Sharpening the Saw' advanced coaching course, Autumn 2020
  • Continuous study, CPD and regular supervision with a coach/mentor

Prices vary depending on your circumstances, but are based on the hourly rate my mechanic charges for fixing my car. Corporate and individual rates apply.

Sessions are each an hour long and take place a week or two apart, as I find that much of coaching happens between sessions as changes in thinking begins to settle.

I offer stand-alone sessions, although I encourage clients to commit to coaching by offering a block of six for the price of five.

"Simply put, Coaching with Nicky has been the best thing I have done in this stage of my life!

From the first meeting, Nicky put me at ease with her warmth of character and conversation. Immediately, I knew that I could open up and speak about my feelings of ‘being stuck’, ’not being good enough’ and my deep rooted lack of self confidence.

After the first couple of sessions, I had a better understanding of myself and my thinking. As we progressed along the path of my journey, I was able to get out of the box inside my own head and take a step forward with much more confidence in my footing.

You see, I always felt there was a better, future, version of George running around, he was way ahead o’ me and I had to catch up with him. He was a guy that had all the qualities I wanted - self assurance, self confidence, ability to speak with authority and didn’t have a heavy core that was stamped ‘I am not enough’.

Through careful and considerate listening and asking the right question at the right time, Nicky was able to get me unstuck. To get me to see. I was able to look back and see just how far I had come, how far I had travelled along this path and how close I actually was to Future George! Something that I thought was unobtainable and miles away was actually only a few small steps in front of me. All because of the questions Nicky asked me.

'How would you like it to be?’ That will stay with me forever.

It doesn’t matter how far away you think your goals are, just imagining how you’d like it to be and taking a step, no matter how small towards that, has been an amazing mental hack.

I can’t thank Nicky enough for what she has unlocked. Things are falling in place, like never before, all because she encouraged me to take that first small step. That step for you, may just be picking up the phone or writing that email and starting your own journey with Coaching with Nicky."

"There something that I always wanted to do but couldn't just seem to do it! The desire to achieve this personal goal was almost physical and felt like a tight lump lodged in my solar plexus.

In the days prior to my first coaching session with Nicky I spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted to achieve, worrying about sounding silly and anxious about achieving my goals. Having never experienced coaching before, I had no idea how the process would unfold. Within minutes Nicky had put me at my ease and I very soon started to see how this was going to be a very positive experience for me.

Using the many techniques she had up her sleeve Nicky very quickly helped me see for myself that my goal was both a true desire of mine and achievable. I was surprised to find out what was the main obstacle to fulfilling my goal and delighted when Nicky used a very effective tool with me to surmount that obstacle. After just four sessions with Nicky, a few tears and some revelations, I felt I had discovered within myself all that I needed to start on the path to successfully achieve my goal. The knot in my solar plexus just melted away!

I can't recommend Nicky highly enough and I plan on using her coaching service again in the future when the need arises."

"In my first session with Nicky, I explained to her that I had lost my job, my lifestyle and my confidence. I felt so stuck when I tried to consider what to do next. I confessed to Nicky that the only thing I now knew that I really wanted to do, was to pursue stand-up comedy. I felt like it was a silly, fantastical goal. Nicky was totally without judgement and helped me to explore my goals with positivity and optimism.

I used to think of my situation as “the end of the road”. Thanks to Nicky’s coaching, I now see it as the end of the chapter and the beginning of an exciting new one.

Critically, Nicky’s coaching also helped me gain confidence in sharing my real goals with my friends and family. I am happy to say that my loved ones have been supportive and I have a new energy in pursuing what I really want to do with my life.

Nicky is warm and easy to talk to. She expertly draws a line between the coaching process and offering helpful anecdotes.
My gratitude to her for her time, guidance and gentle challenge cannot be understated and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone that is feeling lost or stuck.
Thank you, Nicky!"
