About me

Coaching is powerful and can really help you. I work with individuals, run group coaching and creative change workshops. Contact me to chat about what will work best for you. emma@horsesshowtheway.com / 07762 945373

Coaching focuses on how you can start to take steps to move forward to a happier more fulfilled state of being.

Your coaching session is individual and specific to your needs.

My aim is to provide you with skills to immediately make a difference in your life, both at home and at work.

Subsequent sessions build on these skills and add to them.

Work with your creativity to rediscover your strengths and come up with a plan. Art and image making along with journalling can be central to this process, connecting you to your heart's desire.

I use my strength of holding a safe space for people to heal and grow. I’m passionate about holistic wellbeing - aligning mind/ emotions, body and spirit so you can live life fully.

I have a proven track record of helping people who feel really stuck.

Speak with me about what will work for you. If you have an ATW grant then the hourly rate will be in line with this.

ADHD Coaching

If you are late diagnosed, on a waiting list or have ADHD traits and need help then please get in contact.

My life changed a few years ago when my adult daughter told me she has ADHD. I was surprised, because we are so alike and I thought I was ‘normal’. I have been on quite a journey since. Everything in my life now makes sense - the frequent changes of work, the inability to do something I was no longer interested in, time management and hyperfocus.

What clients have said:

Emma always leaves the session on a positive note with some ideas or suggestions for you to ask yourself or work on till the next session. I can’t praise or thank her enough, but I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my coaching sessions with Emma. Emma has an exceptional talent of holding a safe and non- judgemental space. This allowed me to explore deep, and at times confronting thoughts.

“Emma has always been positive, encouraging and challenging at times. She doesn’t just say do this, this and that and it will all come right, she listens to you, very patiently, and then asks you some questions.

“For anyone like myself, who has never considered coaching, give it a go”

"From the off Emma was very open and relaxed, she was great at helping me work through things in ways I never thought I would.

As the sessions built so did my understanding and self-awareness, some things that were initially very unclear or I just didn’t get, began to fall into place. Making me feel a lot more positive about things I could or couldn’t change/control, or question if I really wanted or needed to."

Other areas of coaching I deal with

While counselling and therapy focus on resolving past memories, coaching focuses on the present moment and how the client can start to take steps to move forward to a happier more fulfilled state of being.

Often coaching runs alongside counselling or therapy, providing the client with a framework and support to use their resources, overcome obstacles and achieve goals in life.

I can help support people facing anxiety, stress and overwhelm, using trauma informed practice to help with stabilisation and self rescue skills.

I can coach them to set goals, have an action plan to reach the goals and provide support and encouragement when they falter. Often being guided via powerful questions to see challenges from another perspective, taking in both the wider view and the details is very empowering for people. This is then set into the wider ecology of their life - how different paths will affect relationships, both at home and at work.

When I work in person I have available suitable outdoor space to allow for walking and talking. Sometimes a change of environment helps clients gain a new perspective.

A growing group of people I work with have a late diagnosis of ADHD including those either on a waiting list or affected by ADHD. Through psychoeducation and ADHD appropriate coaching I support them to understand how to work to their strengths. This can be especially helpful as they work their way through titrating on medication.
