About me
As an Accredited Coach with nearly 20 years experience I have the knowledge, theory and practical skills to work flexibly at a deep level to help you create lasting change.
Before coaching I worked at director level for Facilities Management companies, which gave me experience with a broad range of organisations like IBM, Shell, UKAEA, the Police and the UK Ministry of Defence. I also worked as a consultant for British Gas Trading.
The move to coaching was a surprisingly smooth one as I realised that my management, organisational and negotiation approach was already very collaborative and people focussed. As well as coaching I am a qualified Coach Supervisor and enjoy supporting other coaches in their journey.
For nearly ten years I developed and delivered soft skills programmes, for actors, writers and other creatives. I continue to work on my own self-development to continue to fine tune my skills.
Work with me if you are ready to explore areas in your life where you want something to change. You may be dealing with leadership, interpersonal or confidence challenges, or perhaps feel stuck or not in control. Whatever it is, I can help.
My Coaching Approach
We are all on a journey, and as with any journey we will likely meet obstacles, detours and delays. And sometimes you’ll want to stride out into unknown territory.
My job is to help you navigate whatever may be in front of you and can include checking your compass setting and maps, making sure you have all you need in your backpack, planning out your next steps and limbering up for the coming challenge.
When we work together you will be in the driving seat and my role will be to support, listen, reflect and challenge. We will agree goals and actions at each session.
If you are ready to change and think I could be the right coach for you, go ahead and book a session here on my calendly page https://calendly.com/muriel-lag/coaching-session, or get in touch to arrange an initial free telephone chat.
How we can work together
We can meet face to face, via Zoom or over the telephone.
What people say
“Thank you for all your wisdom insight and encouragement over the months we have worked together. I didn't know what to expect when we started speaking to each other but looking back I can see I was not well prepared back then for the life change which is about to come but now I feel that I am!”
“I love Muriel's energy and her ability to mix humour into the coaching conversation and to pick up on the cues that are coming up in our conversation to help me identify goals for the next months of coaching.”
“The coaching relationship with Muriel has been extremely impactful for my personal and professional development. I am so grateful for all the learnings I have had and I am looking forward to continue to grow with these realisations.”
“The lovely thing about working with Muriel is that we shared a lot of laughter along the way. She helped me find the courage to focus on and gradually challenge some ingrained patterns and attitudes that had long outlived their usefulness. Muriel's thoughtful, down to earth approach has made such a positive difference to my life.”
