About me
Hi, I’m Jo Hennessy, a business and personal coach specialising in supporting solo/small business owners and individuals to succeed on their own terms with more ease, alignment and balance.

Firstly, as well as being a certified coach I'm a great strategic thinker who can help you join the dots (many you might not be fully aware of yourself) to see a bigger, brighter picture. Secondly, after working many years in the business world, I understand what its like at times to feel misaligned with certain tasks & environments and experience workplace stresses; and also conversely what it takes to operate at one's best and run a business and life that provides fulfillment. You also get the benefits of my 15 -20 years of experience in business improvement, alignment and personal performance - incorporating traditional tools and strategies used by many world class consultancies, to more abstract and spiritual techniques for those looking for more personalised results.
What am I like to work with? I’m honest, straight-forward and caring. I have a calm and yet gently challenging coaching style to support you to define your own personal definition of success and actually implement it within your life and business! My focus is on your well-being and the best possible outcome for you. Working with me is a collaborative process, a process that will get you and your business or life to where you want, and need to be.
How does that help you? Working with me will help you to gain greater awareness of your current situation and align your future goals. It will also help you to enhance your personal and business performance, increase your profits, and work/life balance, giving you more fulfillment and time for the things and people you love. And also, as a wife, mum of two and business owner myself I know what it is like to juggle a myriad of priorities, and can support you in getting the home and work-life balance right.
What sort of individuals or businesses do you typically work with? I specialise in working with individuals and service based business owners that are motivated by making a difference. For example in the health and well-being, business support (web-designers, marketing consultants, VAs etc) or creative industries (entrepreneurs, architects, software developers etc). Either way, I find my clients share values around quality service delivery and have an appreciation for the importance of well-being and family time to their success in business and life, yet benefit from some support to do so.
I offer free discovery calls and offer a number of flexible packages and tailored programmes for business owners. I also offer personal coaching to individuals looking to evaluate their purpose and priorities and support them to create more alignment, balance and success in life.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have qualified as a personal performance, and a work-life balance coach with The Coaching Academy which is an ICF accredited organisation, and studied as a specialist business coach with Evercoach. I also have additional CPD qualifications with The Coaching Academy in career coaching and mental health.
This is complemented by 15 years business experience including as a Big 4 auditor/consultant and a senior business analyst. Additionally I hold a 1st class masters degree from Leeds University Engineering & Business Schools. And hold a professional diploma in business analysis skills.
