About me

Welcome I'm Emma, a highly skilled and passionate career coach working with women who are feeling stuck, questioning the future of their career and/or struggling with midlife challenges.

Transformative Coaching, Trainer, Mental Health First Aider and Licensed Menopause Champion.

Maybe you’re questioning your career choice, feel jaded or burned out by working life, wondering if it’s too late to do something else, but haven’t a clue what you could do.

Perhaps you are struggling with perimenopause or menopause symptoms and it's impacting your work, leaving you feeling anxious, overwhelmed or like you have lost your confidence

It's not unusual to feel embarrassed about asking for help – will people think you can’t cut it anymore? Or has it got so bad that you're thinking about walking away?

I'm a down to earth, empathetic and action focused coach. I'll provide a safe and supportive space for you to 'let off steam', but I'll also encourage you to see the opportunities - to reflect, explore and grow.

I take a holistic and integrative approach to coaching - this means that I look at the whole you and use a range of tools, techniques and models grounded in psychology.

Some of the areas I specialise in are stress, redundancy, career transitions, low confidence and low self-esteem, identity and self worth, women's health and anxiety.

I'm a personal 1-1 coach and accountability partner helping you to make positive changes to improve your life.

Through 1-1 coaching with me, we’ll work together to:

  • Discover: Figure out where you are now and where you want to be, what’s getting in the way, or causing problems. If you’re peri/menopausal, we’ll do a symptom check to zone in on areas to focus on. You’ll start to get clarity on the things you can control, what your immediate priorities are and where to start.

  • Reset: Reframe negative thinking and limiting beliefs / behaviours; Explore and identify immediate actions to improve your wellbeing / work situation, allowing time to reflect, rest and recover, and signposting available resources and support. You’ll gain perspective, start to feel more balanced, in control, and adopting a more positive mindset ready to reinvent your life.

  • Reinvent and thrive: Get creative and fired up about your future, what sparks passion in you, what gives you meaning, and how you can be the best version of you, living a life you’ve chosen. We’ll get planning,  exploring ways to try new things, or new ways of doing old things. You’ll feel more confident and motivated to make changes, embrace midlife (and whatever comes next), and take practical steps to create the happiness and vibrant life you deserve.

I also drawn on resources and networks that I have access to as a 'Licensed Menopause Champion' and experienced Learning and People Development specialist. So where appropriate, I may offer complimentary learning resources to maximise your coaching experience and provide additional value for money.

Above all else, I take a personalised and inclusive approach with tailored sessions respecting your own personal experience and focusing on your unique journey and goals.

If you have any questions or want to book a session, please click on the 'Email me' box above to drop me a message. Our initial, no-obligation call is an opportunity to learn how coaching can help and a first step towards taking control and creating the vibrant life you deserve.

My personal story...

I’m a mother, daughter, sister, auntie, supportive partner and friend. Partial to a good independent coffee shop, eating out, a French Martini, and holidays abroad. I dabbled in the fitness industry in my 20s – working as an Aerobics and Fitness Instructor – before entering the corporate world. Specialising in Learning and People Development, I’ve trained / coached / mentored employees, developed bespoke learning programmes, and managed teams. Following an unexpected redundancy, I grasped the opportunity to retrain as a Transformative Coach and Licenced Menopause Champion. I now work as an independent coach and learning consultant.

Testimonials

I found Emma invaluable for me! She gave me purpose focus and confidence. She is the perfect ‘fit’ for me as she understands my experiences as a woman in midlife, at a crossroads and reflecting and adapting to change, (work, family, health, finance, time) including ‘the change’ and the invisibility / shadow of my former self I sometimes feel! I feel heard, understood and valued. Her relaxed confident friendly style is exactly what I was looking for. She’s a gem! I have a lot to thank her for! She has the perfect blend of being a professional and confidential.

Client (Dec 2023) – coaching on career, values, feeling stuck in midlife, motivation

Feeling positive and back on the ladder in life in spite of current health challenges. You really helped me massively. Sometimes I get stuck in ruts I can’t get out of until I share and find focus and have someone to feedback to. I’m sure it comes from a childhood remnant of seeking approval if I analyse it. It’s a dilemma of working in isolation with no one to bounce stuff around with.

Client (Feb 2024) – coaching on career, values, feeling stuck in midlife, motivation.

Emma’s coaching has really helped me to structure and strategize my goals in trying to bring my personal projects into fruition that are now my long-term career goals that bring in alternative incomes. I never thought I could materialise my hobbies and this has helped me tremendously. I highly recommend Emma as a coach; she will help you plan your way to success.

Emma is an amazing coach and I found her incredibly supportive and easy to work with. Her insightful questions and great listening skills really helped me when facing a redundancy situation. Her no nonsense approach made it easy for me to get to the heart of my concerns and with her encouragement, I ended up making the best decision for me. She worked with me to understand that I have transferable skills and put together an action plan to start to look at different options and opportunities for the future.  I would definitely recommend working with Emma.
