About me

Welcome! You have started to take the first step towards a calmer, more focused, and fulfilling life.

My name is Victoria and I own a mental health consultancy called Minds That Work. I work with a range of businessness and individuals experiencing difficulties with their mental wellbeing including anxiety, stress, and low mood.

I offer coaching for adults with ADHD, or self-defined traits of ADHD, using mindful focussing techniques and self-compassion.

If you are feeling scattered and unfocused, or perhaps struggling to manage the overwhelming thoughts and emotions that come with ADHD, mindfulness practices and techniques have been found particularly effective in helping individuals with ADHD manage the more severe symptoms and regain control over various aspects of their lives.

A study published in Behavioural Neurology highlighted the effectiveness of these techniques as part of ADHD treatment.

Some practices involve peaceful meditation, while others include physical activity and spending time outdoors.

What does this mean in practice for you?

By training your mind to stay present in the moment, you can enhance your attention, regulate your emotions, and improve your executive functioning. It's a simple but powerful tool that can make a huge difference in your daily life.

Imagine feeling more grounded, centred, and in control. Imagine being able to manage your symptoms more effectively and experience a greater sense of well-being. That's the power of mindfulness meditation.

If you choose to work with me, I will guide you through a programme designed to help individuals cultivate mindfulness skills that can be applied in everyday life, be that at home or at work.

I can support you to take the first step towards a calmer, more focused, and fulfilling life.

You can have more control over your emotional life than you think.

What I offer:

Skills-based 1-2-1 coaching can be extremely empowering. You can gain a better understanding of your mind in a safe space, and to identify how you can best manage, cope and feel more in control.

Due to the more personalised nature of coaching interventions, it can also be incredibly effective in helping you to take positive action.

Clients tell me that mindfulness and self-compassion practices have reduced their feelings of distress, regained their focus and energy particularly those experiencing symptoms of ADHD:

"Thank you. I began my day quite anxious with thoughts of panic in meetings, but after our session I managed to sustain a pretty anxiety-free day. I could feel it creep up at times, but overall I managed it well. I really believe this was thanks to what I've learnt in our mindfulness sessions."

What to expect:

Based on the principles of the WorkplaceMT course (validated by the Chartered Management Institute) and The Centre for Stress Management, the goal in our sessions is to help you better understand and manage your mental and emotional health and wellbeing .

It's about learning sustainable methods to change the way you react to stresses in your life, gaining focus, and acknowledging the importance of self-awareness and techniques of self-care.

I offer an eight week programme of 1 hour per week where each session includes the three elements of mindfulness practice: formal practice, key psychological principles and short guided meditation practices and moments designed to easily incorporate into your working life.

I also offer ongoing stress management and refocussing coaching after the eight week programme to overcome stumbling blocks and regain a sense of purpose with the skills you have developed.

Please get in touch for a no obligation 15 minute chat to explore if you would like to work with me.
