About me

Tamara Judge | Positive Psychology Coach, Supervisor & Trainer | Accredited Supervisor, ICCS | Senior Practitioner, EMCC | MSc Applied Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology

I am a specialist positive psychology coach with over twenty years of experience working with high-performing people who are paying for their success with their health, their wellbeing, or their sense of self.

My specialism is burnout — preventing it, recovering from it, and building the psychological stamina that makes sustainable high performance possible in the first place. I believe, deeply, that high achievement should never come at the cost of wellbeing. And I have spent twenty years helping people prove that it doesn't have to.

My work is grounded in the science of Positive Psychology — evidence-based, strengths-focused, and built for lasting change. I work with three groups of people who share a common experience: they are capable, driven, and operating under exceptional pressure — and something has to give.

Burnout Prevention & Sustainable High Performance

Burnout doesn't announce itself. It builds quietly — through accumulated pressure, inadequate recovery, and the gradual erosion of the things that once made the work feel worthwhile. By the time most people recognise it, they are already running on empty.

My burnout coaching works at both ends: preventing depletion before it becomes crisis, and rebuilding capacity and purpose after burnout has taken hold. This is not about working less or wanting less. It is about building the internal infrastructure — the resilience, the self-awareness, the emotional intelligence — that allows you to perform at your best sustainably, over the long term.

I work with professionals, educators, school leaders, parents, and anyone navigating a high-demand life who is ready to stop merely getting through — and start genuinely thriving.

Together we work on:

Identifying the early warning signs of burnout before they become crisis
Understanding your own stress response and building a sustainable rhythm
Reconnecting with your strengths, values, and sense of purpose
Setting boundaries that protect your capacity without compromising your ambition
Building the psychological stamina for high performance that lasts

Coaching for Independent School Families, Educators & Leaders

Much of my work is within independent education — one of the most high-pressure environments there is. I coach pupils navigating exam anxiety and school transitions, parents managing the demands of independent school life, and school leaders carrying the wellbeing of entire communities on their shoulders.

This work sits within my specialist practice, Keystone Coaching, which works exclusively within independent education. You can find out more at keystonecoaching.co.uk.

Coaching for ADHD and Neurodiversity

A significant proportion of my clients carry an ADHD diagnosis — many alongside dyslexia, dyspraxia, or other learning differences. Neurodivergent people are disproportionately represented among high performers, and disproportionately at risk of burnout — because they are often working twice as hard as their peers just to keep pace.

My positive psychology approach is particularly effective here because it starts from strengths rather than deficits. We build on what is already working, develop practical strategies for focus, planning, and self-regulation, and shift self-perception from frustration and shame toward empowerment and self-belief.

Coaching for Chronic Illness & Chronic Pain

This is personal for me.

In my early teaching career, sustained workplace stress triggered a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia that took me out of work for six months — and brought me face to face with burnout, chronic pain, and depression. I found my way through it, and positive psychology was central to that process.

I now offer coaching and emotional wellbeing support for people who are newly diagnosed with or living with a chronic health condition — arthritis, fibromyalgia, or other long-term illness. I bring twenty years of lived experience alongside my professional expertise. I understand this from the inside.

This coaching focuses on rebuilding identity, confidence, and hope after diagnosis — and finding sustainable ways to thrive, not just cope. I wish this kind of support had existed when I was first diagnosed. That is why I offer it.

Funding Options

Coaching may be accessible at reduced or no cost to you through the following routes:

EHCP funding: Positive psychology coaching can complement existing SEND provision and may be an appropriate inclusion within a child's Education, Health and Care Plan. If you feel this may be relevant for your child, your first step would be to speak with your school's SENCo, who can advise on whether coaching could be included within the EHCP framework. I am happy to support this process, including providing reports where required. Please note that report writing is charged separately — get in touch to discuss.

Access to Work:Adult clients who are employed or self-employed and have a disability, neurodivergent condition such as ADHD or dyslexia, or a long-term health condition may be eligible for an Access to Work grant — a government scheme that can fund coaching costs in full. This is particularly relevant for clients seeking burnout support, ADHD coaching, or workplace coping strategy coaching. Please get in touch to find out more or visit gov.uk/access-to-work.

How I Work

Most coaching takes place online via video call, making it accessible wherever you are in the UK or internationally. Sessions are relaxed, conversational, and entirely confidential. There are no worksheets to complete, no homework to dread, and no judgement — just a focused, purposeful space that is entirely yours.

My approach is grounded in the science of Positive Psychology, which means we start from your strengths rather than your deficits. Rather than spending sessions analysing what has gone wrong, we build on what is already working — and use that as the foundation for meaningful, lasting change.

Coaching for young people is delivered in termly blocks of eight to eleven sessions, with sessions scheduled weekly — because consistency is the cornerstone of effective coaching with children and young people, allowing trust, momentum, and lasting change to build steadily over time.

I work with a minimum programme of eight sessions for adults, with the flexibility to choose one, two, or three sessions per month to suit your pace and schedule. This is not short-term fix coaching. It is the kind of sustained, evidence-based work that produces real and durable results.

What to Expect in Your First Session

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, explore what brings you to coaching, and begin to map out what you most want to change or achieve. There is no pressure to have everything figured out before we start — many of my most transformative coaching relationships have begun with a client who simply knew that something needed to shift, but wasn't yet sure what.

Before committing to a programme, I offer a free 20-minute discovery call so we can explore whether we are a good fit. This is completely confidential and comes with no obligation whatsoever.

Who I Work With

I work with adults, young people, and families — primarily within the world of independent education, though my burnout, ADHD, and chronic illness coaching is open to anyone who resonates with my approach.

My adult clients are typically high-performing professionals, educators, school leaders, and parents who are managing demanding lives with intelligence and capability — but who are quietly running on empty and ready to build something more sustainable.

My younger clients are typically pupils at independent schools navigating exam pressure, transitions, confidence challenges, or the particular weight of high expectations. I also work with children as young as seven or eight, using a playful, strengths-based approach that feels nothing like therapy and everything like having a thoughtful, supportive ally in their corner.

A Note on Neurodiversity

A significant proportion of my clients are neurodivergent — many carry an ADHD diagnosis, often alongside dyslexia or dyspraxia. My positive psychology approach is particularly well-suited to neurodivergent clients because it builds on individual strengths and character rather than focusing on deficits or difficulties. Coaching sessions are flexible, conversational, and adapted to suit the way you think and work — not the other way around.

Adult clients with ADHD or other neurodivergent conditions who are in employment or self-employment may be eligible to have coaching funded through the government's Access to Work scheme. Please get in touch to find out more.

You can be confident that the coaching you receive is grounded in the most up-to-date research and delivered to the highest professional standards.

What Clients Say

"If you're looking for a coach, look no further than Tamara. I have never cried, laughed and felt more clear on my goals than when working with her. Her coaching process is such an enlightening experience that it feels like one continuous "Ah ha!" moment that you never want to stop.

Tamara makes you feel comfortable from the beginning, which allows you to go deep into what you want and where you want to go.

I cannot recommend her enough, and even as I write this I am excited for you to experience coaching by Tamara."
Katrina Gingell

"Well, I am delighted to say, that the value for money that I have received after only 2 sessions, is incredible! Tamara is patient, encouraging, and professional.
The sessions helped me understand how previous thought patterns and beliefs have developed, and also how they can be managed.

Only one day after our second session, I already felt a greater awareness of my interactions and responses to others, as well as the stories that I tell myself. This has given me clarity in how I feel and how I approach tasks, and I feel a lot more in control of my thoughts and actions. I am thoroughly looking forward to my next session."

Tina Hopewell

"I had Tamara help me with the start up of my business at the beginning of the year, and I found coaching a great way to keep me focused and on the right track. During our sessions Tamara was extremely supportive, encouraging and gave me the confidence to achieve my goals."
Kelly White, Olive Tree Wellbeing

"Tamara helped me do things that are important, in a fun way. I liked it because she is always nice to me and we do fun things together."
Coco (Age 8)

"Tamara worked with our 8yr old following a period of poor mental health following ongoing bullying. Our daughter was struggling to manage some very big feelings and Tamara gently coached her through techniques that she could put into practice on her own and helped her to think positively about herself and her future. Our daughter enjoyed her sessions which were playful and engaging, and as parents, we felt so thankful to have someone who really understood our child and what she was going through. I couldn’t recommend Tamara more highly."
