About me
Coaching is a goal-directed approach which aims to identify and harness a person’s strengths and skills to help them achieve improvements in their lives. It is not therapy but it often results in improved self-esteem, greater self-belief and a sense of empowerment. Coaching does not involve telling people what to do: it involves exploring options and challenging self-limiting beliefs so that people can realise their potential. A coach is essentially a facilitator: my job is not to tell you the answers; it is to guide you along a path so that you can find the answers for yourself. I offer a collaborative approach which aims to challenge and develop personal and professional growth.
I offer a range of online services which include individual online coaching and reflective practice sessions, and individual online mentoring and supervision for mental health professionals. Reflective practice supervision sessions provide a space for professionals of any background to reflect on the impact of their professional roles on their wellbeing and relationships, and vice versa. They are less goal-directed than coaching, as their focus is to build self-awareness in order to enhance personal insights, good practice and personal resilience, which will minimise the impact of the stressors and changes we face in our working lives.
I also offer group-based reflective practice supervision sessions, team leadership development sessions and team supervision sessions. These are offered on site usually in your business location. These sessions help professional teams to build better relationships with each other that are founded on trust and respect for each other’s perspectives. This will enhance team as well as individual performance.
I also offer online supervision, coaching and mentoring to psychological practitioners who wish to develop their clinical skills and careers further. If you are an assistant psychologist, a counsellor, psychotherapist, trainee psychologist or qualified psychologist, I can offer you a series of sessions to help you think about the challenges you face in your job or career. As a mentor, I am able to offer you guidance based on my career as someone who has worked in a variety of fields and roles, which include forensics, health, management, leadership, service and business development and coping with organisational change. I will help you navigate through potential career choices and explore with you options for enhancing your skillset.
