Sandra Tilley, MAC - Personal Development Coach
I have been a qualified personal development coach and trainer for the past fifteen years and have extensive experience of supporting individuals within the framework of their career, relationships, and general well-being.
My coaching approach
I motivate clients to identify ingrained sources of unhelpful thinking and, through increased self-awareness and reflective practice, generate their own solutions to the issues they face. I encourage clients to recognise their core values and strengths, thereby building self-confidence in the skills they uniquely bring to any given situation.
The ethos of my practice is to provide clients with the tools and techniques to build their capacity to self-coach in a way that will maintain their personal development and learning beyond our last meeting. This includes providing preparatory paperwork in advance of our first meeting and bespoke material on issues which arise during coaching sessions.
Although I can provide a place for confidential support and reflection at my home address, the majority of my face to face meetings take place in locations which are meaningful to my clients. Some prefer to meet at their workplace while others enjoy open spaces, art galleries or quirky coffee shops. People will always flourish in an atmosphere of honesty, support and challenge but a location where a client feels particularly at ease adds to their sense of being in a ‘safe space.’

Independent validation of my coaching skills
In July 2012 I was validated as an Executive Coach for the UK Civil Service through Oxford Brookes University. This involved an independent assessment of my coaching skills and subsequent supervisory meetings.
I have experience of coaching teams within a business setting.
Creating Bespoke Training Material
I have presented and developed training material for over twenty years, both in the UK and overseas. A 2019 survey conducted by the UK's Behaviours Insight Team found that end users of a training package I had designed found it 'particularly useful'.
Continuous Professional Development
As an active member of two professional bodies, I ensure my coaching practice reflects the latest thinking by attending training events and keeping up to date with recent publications.
Association for Coaching
The Association for Coaching is one of the leading professional bodies for Coaches and Organisations.
The Association is made up of a number of different membership categories, e.g. Associate Member (AMAC), Member (MAC), Accredited Member (AC Accred), with the different categories standing for different levels of training and experience. Accredited Members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
The Association has a Code of Ethics & Good Practice and a Complaints Procedure.
Areas of coaching I deal with
No fee - initial telephone conversation or email exchange
To establish whether coaching is right for you or your business, contact me by email or call me for a free, no obligation, 15 minute telephone conversation.
Package - 5 hours of coaching - total price £375.
This package includes all supporting written material and is intentionally flexible so as to meet the needs of the individual. For example, it suits some clients to have five, one hour, sessions whereas others, especially those who prefer face to face meetings but are travelling some distance, ask for fewer, longer sessions.
If required, additional coaching can be purchased at the cost of £75 per hour.
The ethos of my practice is to make personal development coaching accessible to as many individuals as possible. I therefore offer discounted rates to those on a limited income or who have recently been made redundant. Please contact me for further information.
Corporate fees for bespoke training or team/individual coaching are agreed on a case by case basis depending on requirements. I especially enjoy working with businesses keen to embed coaching into the personal development of their staff or utilise it as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
I am committed to allocating 10% of my coaching hours on a no fee basis to registered charities or organisations supporting individuals with low self esteem. Please contact me for further details.
Testimonials for 2020 will be uploaded shortly.
