About me

A qualified personal development coach and trainer for the past fifteen years, I have extensive experience in supporting individuals within the framework of their career, relationships and general wellbeing.

About you and Personal Development Coaching

You will be supported to identify ingrained sources of unhelpful thinking and, through increased self-awareness, generate your own solutions to the issues you currently face.

You will be encouraged to identify your core values and strengths, the building blocks from which to develop your self-confidence.

So, what are your ANTs?  The automatic negative thoughts which drive your behaviour or lead you to distort a situation. Why do you undervalue the inherent skills and insights you uniquely bring to any given situation?

A coach has the questions but you have the answers.

The ethos of my practice is to provide you with the tools and techniques to build your capacity to self-coach.  The goal is straightforward - to ensure you are equipped to maintain your personal development beyond our coaching relationship.

Supporting materials include preparatory paperwork in advance of our first meeting.  It is important to establish from the outset that coaching is the right option for you.  Preliminary materials are then supplemented by bespoke documents on issues arising during our coaching sessions.

Meetings can be face to face, by telephone or online.  Although I do offer coaching sessions from my home, the majority of face to face appointments take place within independent settings meaningful to my clients. Some chose to meet up at their workplace while others prefer open spaces, art galleries or their favourite coffee shop.

Individuals flourish in a confidential atmosphere of honesty, support and challenge. The sense of being in a ‘safe space’ will be enhanced if conversations take place at a location where you feel particularly at ease.

  • Diploma in Life Coaching (with Distinction) through the Life Coaching Institute
  • ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring in Management
  • Certified Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Course

Independent validation of my coaching skills

In July 2012 I was validated as an Executive Coach for the UK Civil Service through Oxford Brookes University.  This involved an independent assessment of my coaching skills and subsequent supervisory meetings.

Team Coaching

I have experience of coaching teams within a business setting.

Creating Bespoke Training Material

I have presented and developed training material for over twenty years, both in the UK and internationally.

A 2019 survey conducted by the UK's Behaviours Insight Team found that end users of a training package I had designed identified it as being a 'particularly useful' part of a national scheme for mentors.

Continuous Professional Development

As an active member of two professional bodies, I ensure my coaching practice reflects the latest thinking by attending training events and keeping up to date with recent publications.

Member organisations

Association for Coaching

The Association for Coaching is one of the leading professional bodies for Coaches and Organisations.

The Association is made up of a number of different membership categories, e.g. Associate Member (AMAC), Member (MAC), Accredited Member (AC Accred), with the different categories standing for different levels of training and experience. Accredited Members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

The Association has a Code of Ethics & Good Practice and a Complaints Procedure.

No fee - initial Zoom, telephone or email exchange

To establish whether coaching is right for you or your business, contact me by email or call me for a free, no obligation, 15 minute telephone conversation.

Package - six hours of coaching - total price £450.

This package includes bespoke written material and is intentionally flexible so as to meet the needs of the individual.  For example, it suits some clients to have six, one hour, sessions whereas others, especially those who prefer face to face meetings but are travelling some distance, request fewer but longer sessions.

If required, additional coaching can be purchased at the cost of £80 per hour.

Concessionary rates

The ethos of my practice is to make personal development coaching accessible to as many individuals as possible.  I therefore offer discounted rates to those on a limited income or who have recently been made redundant. Please contact me for further information.

Corporate Rates

Corporate fees for bespoke training or team/individual coaching are agreed on a case by case basis depending on requirements.  I especially enjoy working with businesses keen to embed coaching into the personal development of their staff or utilise it as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.

Registered charities

I am committed to allocating 30% of my coaching hours on a no fee basis to registered charities or voluntary organisations supporting vulnerable adults.  Please contact me for further details.

Client Testimonials from June 2020 onwards:

I cannot thank Sandra enough. It was really the best advice given / discussion had that I can remember having with any career coach ... Highly recommended. (AF Warwickshire.)

I'd dreamed of making some serious life and work changes for several years but had been too conflicted to change things. Sandra helped me to breakdown the issues I was facing and gave me the courage and the confidence to move forward.  I am indebted to her for her support and have never looked back.  (K, West Midlands)

The sessions I had with Sandra helped me to focus on what was important in my life and how to deal with the negative obstacles I faced,  to strive forward to reach new goals. (Charlotte, West Midlands)

Sandra … helped me to find the answers myself by enabling me to draw upon who I am, what I’m good at, building my trust and confidence in those things that were there inside me ... I felt so much more in control of my own mind and being (in my career but also in my personal life) as a result of the work done with Sandra … I would highly recommend her to anyone. (HD, Avon)
