About me

Hi, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I love helping people to think about what they really want and then supporting them in finding solutions to achieve their goals. As a mum of two teenagers, wife, business owner, friend, daughter...I know the challenges in managing to keep different plates spinning and making sure life is fun, happy and fulfilling.

Through coaching my aim is to help you get clarity about what you want & how you can achieve it. I have helped people from different industries and backgrounds to:

  • Change career - finding a job they will love & be good at
  • Develop their leadership and management skills
  • Make a great impression in a new job or company
  • Be more confident
  • Resolve conflict and build relationships
  • Plan and prioritise
  • Get a work-life balance

Coaching is all about you. I will work with you, to quickly understand your situation, making the most of your time. I am creative in helping to move things forward. I will never judge, just help you to work out your goals and how you can achieve them.

Below are a couple of testimonials, for more please visit my website

“I feel completely energised with the coaching that I have undertaken with Illuminarity (Ruth Cass), I have found every session highly thought provoking and incredibly valuable in taking time to think through different situations and approaches for improving my confidence. I now have a very clear idea of the actions I will take to support my future career progression.” Account Manager Construction

"Due to Ruth’s coaching I have amazed myself at what I have achieved and changed in 5 short months. This includes changing job, improving my social life, re-vamping my house with ideas that I ‘have been getting round to it’ for 3 years, having more fun with family members, buying a different car, becoming healthier and losing 1 st 7 lbs of excess fat, plus lots more.

By talking through goals with Ruth I have done the above with confidence, aware they were the right things for me to do. I have surprised myself as to how easy it was and the momentum I have now. By breaking things down with timescales, there was a logical path and what seemed an impossible task became possible.

I am happier now than before the coaching and have a better balance in life; I make more of my time in the way I choose. I am also more confident and decisive than before coaching.

I have learnt new habits and skills to carry on achieving my goals without coaching.

I would recommend coaching to anyone who wants change things in their life and achieve their goals. Sue T"

Training, qualifications & experience

I combine professional coaching and facilitation skills with a solid 13 years of Marketing, Communications and Management experience in a wide range of environments, both private and public sector. I have experienced the challenges of business planning, cost management, product development, getting good ROI, influencing, managing staff and stakeholders, all whilst balancing this with day to day delivery and project management of marketing campaigns. I also know first hand about starting and running your own business, getting clients, wearing many hats and keeping the fun factor alive.

As a coach and trainer I have worked with individuals and teams in Banking, Food Manufacture, Construction, Design, consumer products and Interiors. This work has ranged from:

  • Coaching people who have been made redundant to find new work, set up on their own or take active retirement
  • supporting small business owners in growing their business
  • helping individuals believe in themselves and achieve their goals
  • facilitating international leadership & management development

I truly love the variety my work brings and in the end it boils down to individuals like you who want something to improve or change.
