About me
Hi, I’m Greg, a qualified life coach, counsellor and therapist. I work with people who want to understand themselves more deeply, recognise what may be holding them back, and create meaningful movement towards the life they actually want.
You may have reached a point where you know something needs to be different. Perhaps you feel stuck or lost, lack confidence or direction, overthink decisions, or have reached a crossroads personally or professionally. Your life may even look successful from the outside, yet inside you know something is missing. Sometimes you know exactly what you want. At other times, you simply know you don't want to keep living or feeling as you are.
My approach to coaching goes deeper than goals, motivation and accountability alone. A central part of my work is helping you develop greater self-awareness and recognise the unconscious drivers that may be influencing your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and choices without you fully realising it. These can include beliefs you have developed about yourself, emotional rules you have learned to live by and patterns that have become automatic over time.
My belief is that we cannot always create a different future without understanding something about what created the present. That doesn't mean endlessly looking backwards. We explore the past when it helps us understand where you are today, work with what is happening in your life now, and use that understanding to create clearer choices about where you want to go next.
This is where my background in both therapy and coaching shapes the way I work. Some people need space to understand and process before moving forward. Others arrive ready for structure, challenge, and action. Often, people need a combination of both. I don't work from a fixed script or expect you to fit a particular model. Our work is shaped around you and can develop as you do.
I work with people across many areas of life, including confidence, mindset, relationships and communication, personal direction, business and career, health and wellbeing, and major periods of transition. I also work with business owners and professionals who may have spent years achieving, providing, or carrying responsibility while giving far less attention to what they actually want from their own lives.
My own life experiences have shaped both the person and practitioner I am today. I know what it is like to reach a point where life needs to become different, and my interest in people began long before I trained professionally. That lived experience, alongside years of learning and working with clients, continues to influence the way I work.
I listen deeply, remain curious, notice patterns and make connections, but I'm also prepared to challenge when challenge is needed. I care about creating a genuine human relationship where we can have honest conversations, look beyond what is happening on the surface, and focus on what will genuinely help you move forward.
Ultimately, my role is not to tell you who you should be or what your life should look like. It is to help you understand yourself more deeply, recognise choices you may not currently see, and support you in creating a life that feels more aligned with who you are and who you want to become.
I work in person and online across the UK and offer a free initial telephone or Zoom consultation, giving you an opportunity to talk with me, ask questions, and decide whether I feel like the right fit for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
My belief is that qualifications are not about impressing people. They reflect years of continued learning, personal growth, and an ongoing commitment to supporting people more effectively.
My professional training spans life coaching, counselling, psychotherapy and human behaviour. Some of my core training took several years to complete, but I have never viewed gaining a qualification as the end of learning. It provides a foundation that continues to develop through experience, further study and working with clients.

My wider training has introduced me to a broad range of psychological and therapeutic approaches, which allows me to draw on different perspectives rather than viewing every person or situation through one particular model.
Alongside formal training, I continue to study psychology, neurology, human behaviour and personal development, with further learning across relationships, communication, business, health and wellbeing. Our understanding of people never stands still, and neither should our learning.
My experience has also been shaped by hundreds of hours of my own personal therapy, counselling and coaching across a wide range of approaches. Experiencing this work from the client's perspective has given me an understanding that professional training alone cannot provide. I know what it is like to be challenged, see yourself differently, and experience first-hand how the right conversation, with the right person at the right time, can influence the direction of your life.
My experience extends far beyond formal education. I have worked with clients from many different backgrounds, previously volunteered as a Samaritans Listening Volunteer, and spent many years in business. Those experiences, alongside my own personal journey, have all contributed to the practitioner I am today.
Qualifications and professional knowledge matter, but I don't believe theory alone is enough to understand another human being. For me, the greatest depth comes from bringing together what we learn professionally, what we experience personally, and what other people teach us when we remain curious enough to listen.

Further information
My coaching can focus on different areas of life depending on what you want to develop, understand, or create.
This may include life and mindset coaching, business and career coaching, relationships and communication, or health and wellbeing. Some clients come with one clearly defined goal, while others recognise that several areas of their life are connected and want the freedom to explore the wider picture.
Business and career work can include professional direction, decision-making, confidence, leadership, communication, performance, career change or developing a business without losing sight of the person behind it. Having spent many years in business myself, I understand that professional decisions rarely exist separately from confidence, relationships, wellbeing and the life you are trying to create outside work.
Relationships and communication can also form an important part of coaching. This may involve understanding recurring patterns, developing healthier boundaries, communicating more effectively or improving the way you connect with partners, family, friends or colleagues.
Health and wellbeing coaching can explore the relationship between physical wellbeing, mindset and everyday behaviour. This may include habits, exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress and developing a healthier, more sustainable relationship with your own wellbeing.
These areas rarely exist in isolation. A conversation that begins with career direction may uncover confidence. A relationship difficulty may connect with communication or boundaries. A health goal may involve habits, identity, or self-belief. I value being able to work with the whole person rather than treating each part of life as though it exists separately.
