I'm Claire and I help people lose weight for good! I help you with motivation, commitment, confidence, self esteem, accountability, knowledge, skills & tools, and even include personal training or an exercise plan if you need it. I help you decide the right approach for your life and personality, and keep you on track.

Meet Hazel

She's fed up with her weight, she's tried all the diets under the sun, she only lasts a few weeks, then gives up and puts it all back on again, plus more. She's now the heaviest she's ever been in her life.

She keeps spending money on things that promise to get her results, but she doesn't end up using them and they gather dust and end up in the charity shop. Now she's 47, got high blood pressure and is really worried about her health and her future. She feels very unattractive and thinks her family are embarrassed by her weight. She feels she is a terrible role model for her children.

She got help to choose which weight loss approach would suit her life best rather than doing the one her friend was doing.She now has realistic, not idealistic goals. She has learned that there is no such thing as a quick fix, and that it's important to enjoy the journey to better health. She has learned lots of new knowledge and skills to keep her on track through life's inevitable obstacles.

She has continued to lose weight, even after finishing her coaching, and without feeling like she's in a constant battle with herself. She's not at her goal yet but she's lost nearly 3 stone and she's finally getting a real return on her investment in herself.

She's feeling happier, healthier and full of hope for the future, and for the first time ever, she feels confident that she can now manage her weight successfully for the rest of her life, and leave yo-yo dieting behind.

Who am I and what can I do for you?

I'm Claire and I'm here to help you manage your weight.

I'm a Life Coach and Personal Trainer with a range of qualifications and personal and professional experience developed over many years. I help people break free from yo-yo and serial dieting and lose weight for good, as I remember how it felt to have my life dictated by my weight!

But it doesn't dictate my life anymore!

After almost 25 years of yo-yo dieting I finally cracked it, and absolutely transformed my life.

I have now kept my weight off for 10 years.

Your Weight Loss Jigsaw Puzzle

We are all unique. I help you to work out why you have not succeeded in the past, and help you put all the pieces together to solve your very own unique jigsaw puzzle.

With me there is no trying to follow rigid plans that don't fit with YOUR life. The key to success in my approach is helping you work out what's important to you, what works for you and what you enjoy, what your strengths are and what changes you can make that are therefore sustainable for YOUR life. And walking beside you as you make those changes, cheering you on and holding you accountable. Celebrating your successes with you. And there will be many along the way. You will be amazed at what you can achieve with the right attitude, support and tools.

How much is a lifetime of being a healthy weight worth to you?

We think nothing of spending money on gadgets, makeup or handbags we don't use, shoes and clothes we don't wear, gym memberships and other subscriptions that we don't use, so why not spend it instead on investing in yourself with coaching? You'll be glad that you did, and you will definitely use it as I will hold you to account. There's a reason why airline cabin crew tell you in the safety briefing to put your own oxygen mask on before helping others! Think about it!

Seeking coaching is NOT an admission of failure! It's recognition that you deserve more out of your life!

Getting some outside help to unlock your potential and keep you accountable is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your loved ones, as if you are able to overcome the things that are holding you back, you will be more successful generally in everything that you do. Everyone should be able to access coaching. Even coaches - yes I have a coach! ?

Coaching helps you get sustainable results! Yes, even by working with you online! It doesn't matter where you are!

I take a holistic approach, looking at your whole life. Often weight gain or an inability to lose it is due to other things going on, and by helping you make changes in those areas, suddenly the weight loss becomes possible. Equally losing the weight can enhance other areas of your life.

Tackling what we eat is the biggest influence in weight management so even if you can't be very active due to health conditions or a disability, being overweight is not inevitable. I can show you how.

I also offer Personal Training to complement your coaching sessions!

Alongside my coaching I also offer personal training. In addition to the standard Personal Training qualification I also have a Level 3 Personal Training Exercise Referral Diploma to work with people with a variety of health conditions including depression, arthritis or high blood pressure and a Level 4 Personal Training Certificate to support those struggling with obesity and/or diabetes, so I have the specialist skills and knowledge to help you if any of this applies to you.

(Note: I require GP approval to provide personal training to people with medical conditions)

You don't have to take up running or go to the gym if you don't want to, and being active doesn't have to mean formal structured exercise. I can help you find things you like doing that will help you to be more generally active, and therefore will stick to.

I offer standalone personal training but provide discounted sessions to clients who are also receiving coaching services from me. See my services page for more details.
