About me

Hi, I’m Dr Zoe Knight—a consultant psychologist and coach. I help you build on what you’re already good at, feel more confident, and take the next step -whatever that looks like for you. My style is practical, down to earth and supportive.

Because I’m trained in both psychology and coaching, we can work in a way that fits you. Some people want space to understand themselves and how they think, feel and behave and think these patterns through; others want clear goals and a plan. Most people want a bit of both—and that’s exactly what we’ll do.

I love working with people who are thoughtful, curious and ready for change. Together we’ll focus on your strengths, build your resilience, and find simple tools you can use in real life—so your life and work feel more like you.

Is this you?

You might be here because you want to:

·       Feel more confident when you’re leading or influencing others

·       Build better, more genuine relationships

·       Get through a big change with more clarity and calm

·       Stay focused and manage your energy if you're neurodivergent

·       Say what you need to say - especially in difficult conversations

·       Make sense of workplace dynamics and tricky relationships at work

·       Make decisions that match your values and feel good afterwards

·       Set boundaries so you can look after your wellbeing

·       Bounce back when things don’t go to plan

·       Juggle priorities without feeling overwhelmed

If you’re nodding along, you’re in the right place. I work with people who want to understand themselves better and make changes that actually stick. We’ll keep things honest, kind and practical—and we’ll go at a pace that works for you.

How I can help

Life Transitions

Big life changes can shake things up—but they can also be a chance to reset. If you’re dealing with a breakup, a big move, redundancy, grief or loss, or changes in friendships or family relationships, I’ll help you get clearer on what matters to you and what you want to do next.

Work Transitions

Work transitions can come in lots of forms—job loss or redundancy, returning after burnout, rebuilding confidence after a tough experience at work, or stepping into something new. Work change can be a lot—new role, promotion, career shift, or a restructure. We’ll make sense of what’s going on around you, spot any patterns that are tripping you up, and build skills like communication, decision-making and leadership so you can feel steadier and more in control.

Neurodiverse Transitions

If you’re figuring out an ADHD or autism diagnosis (or wondering if it might fit), coaching can give you supportive, practical strategies. We can work on focus, energy, sensory overwhelm and day-to-day organisation—so life feels more manageable at home and at work.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’ve worked across the NHS, private practice, and the charity/third sector for over fourteen years. Alongside coaching, I’ve also worked in leadership and consultancy roles—so I understand both the personal side of change and the reality of busy workplaces.

Qualifications-wise, I have undergraduate and master’s degrees in psychology, and a Doctorate in counselling psychology (University of East London, 2012). I also completed advanced training at The Tavistock Clinic (D10: Consulting and Leading in Organisations: Psychodynamic and Systemic Approaches).

I’m also an EMCC-accredited coach - Practitioner level, trained through Catalyst 14 in transformational coaching.

I use approaches that are backed by research, and I always tailor things to you. That might include newer forms of CBT-based tools like MBT or DBT, trauma-informed work. I also use models that look at what’s happening in your wider world in the context of your systems – like relationships, family and work - the type of patterns that you find yourself getting into in these spaces and what hooks you into these in the first place. The aim is simple: help you feel stronger, steadier and more like yourself.

Over the years I’ve supported people through all sorts of life transitions—like separation and co-parenting, relocating to a new area, supporting an ageing parent, or stepping into a blended-family setup. I’ve also helped people with work transitions—like taking on a new leadership role, being made redundant, navigating a performance plan, returning after long-term sick leave, recovering after bullying or discrimination at work, or deciding whether to stay, move role, or change career altogether. I know change can be tough, and I also know it’s possible to come out the other side feeling clearer and more confident.

In my leadership and consultancy work, I’ve designed and delivered leadership programmes, run reflective spaces, and offered coaching and consultation. It means we can talk about what’s happening at work in a really grounded way—without losing sight of how it’s affecting you as a person.

I also work with neurodivergent clients, including people adjusting to an ADHD or autism diagnosis. We’ll focus on your strengths and find practical ways to make everyday life and work feel easier.

If you’re looking for supportive, practical help—and a space to think, reset and move forward—I’d love to work with you.

Further information

Neuroaffirmative coaching is all about understanding, acceptance and celebrating neurodiversity. It means I don't view differences linked to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more, as problems to “fix”. Instead, I see these experiences as normal human differences. In my work, I use this approach to help neurodivergent people thrive as themselves, reduce burnout, find better balance, and navigate a world that isn’t always built with neurodivergent brains in mind.
