About us
Jon Green has run and managed Verdure Coaching Associates since 2022. His own coaching specializes in leadership development and transition coaching, encompassing various scenarios such as stepping up or changing roles, specialists (often clinical staff) transitioning into leadership or management positions, individuals transitioning from full-time work to a portfolio career or semi retired life, or those seeking support in managing the challenges of everyday life. With a professional background rich in expertise and experience, Jon offers a diverse skill set to support clients in experimenting with new approaches to work challenges and life issues.
His coaching style is outcome-based, emphasizing tangible results from each session to propel clients forward. While providing direct support where necessary, Jon also creates an environment conducive to calm reflection, allowing clients to explore their own insights and ideas. Throughout the coaching process, Jon maintains a clear focus on objectives, ensuring progress towards the client's goals.
Training, qualifications & experience
Jon has had a varied career including 20 years as a Royal Naval officer and 15 years as an NHS Operational Manager and Board Executive. During his time in the Armed Forces his career included sea-going appointments, instructing new entry officers at the Royal Naval College in leadership and navigation, various intelligence appointments at home and abroad, including 3 years in Italy, and press/media management for senior officers and Ministers of State when based in Central London. After leaving the RN Jon joined the NHS via their executive fast track Gateway scheme and over the next 15 years spent over half his time serving on NHS Trust Boards. This included acute hospital and community services organisations in London, East Midlands, and the East of England; mostly in operational roles, including Chief Operating Officer, but also as the Chief Executive of the QEH Foundation Trust in Kings Lynn. More recently, he has been running his own consultancy providing service redesign and advisory services to health and social care organisations, working with a variety of commercial start-ups on innovation and development support, including coaching and mentoring services to clients. He is also a trustee and Vice-Chair of a national Cancer charity.
Jon is a Henley Business School qualified executive coach via professional certificate under the International Coaching Federation. Completed in 2022. Coaching clients include University College London Medical School (coaching academic medics), charity sector (small charity CEO and larger charity DCEO), Small Business/Start ups (CEO in Healthcare and Director Sales&Marketing retail) and individuals on career transition.
Trained mentor within the NHS and continues to provide long term mentorships from time working in the NHS to more recent mentees.

Individual self pay price £120 per 1 hr session. Note: Reductions on standard price available based on individual circumstances.
