Sue Sharp | De-stress for Success: Business, Career and Life Coaching
Hello. I’m Sue, and I help people to de-stress for success.
I believe that we all have talents to share with the world and we’re most likely to be able to share these when we’re shining bright: happy, confident and relaxed.
However, at some point we nearly all experience some humps and hurdles in life, and these can cause stress and knock us off course for a bit.
For example, stress such as facing an unexpected loss – of a loved one, a relationship or a job. Or facing an illness; or feeling overwhelmed or stuck at work or with life. Or perhaps you just feel a niggling or constant sense of frustration or sadness with a certain part of yourself or your life.
You know you want to change, but you’re not sure how, or what to. Or you’re just not managing to make that change on your own. Having a coach can help you to navigate these times and find your next best steps.
At other times you might know exactly what you want and how to get there, but you know that you'd benefit from some additional support to help you rise to this new goal or challenge to ensure your success.
In any of these kinds of situations, it's likely that working with a coach will help you and I’ve been successfully helping clients to improve their lives since 2006. If you’re feeling a bit stuck or stressed, or you've got a big goal to achieve, then I’d love to help you.
What to expect:
As your coach we'll work together so that you can get clear on what you really want and feel confident to take your next steps.
You’ll find a compassionate space to discover your own truth. You’ll be asked questions that stretch your thinking, and you’ll find ways to connect to your deepest wisdom.
I may share ideas and concepts to help you make new connections or find new ways of doing things. I may also share things I notice about your thinking, so that you can get to know yourself better.
By having a coach alongside you’ll gain a perspective that’s both objective and fully focused on helping you to get what you want for your life. I’ll be on your team, and yet I’m not playing the same role as a friend, colleague or family member.
I’ll help lift your spirits if things are tough and I’ll be right next to you celebrating when things are going as you’d planned.
My role is to help you to always take your next best steps and enjoy yourself on the way! That way you can de-stress for success, shine bright and share your talents with the world.
How does it really work?
I often use a 5 Steps to Success Strategy to help you find your next best steps, take them and move towards the life you truly want. I’ll help you to gain:
1) CLARITY - Get clear on what you really want
2) PLAN – work out how to achieve this
3) ALIGN – this is a mindset piece that many miss out on – and it can be the make or break of a desired change working or a key goal from being reached.
We'll look at your values, beliefs and attitudes to see where your mind could sabotage you from reaching your goals and taking the actions you plan to take. As we identify any blockers we'll work together to resolve them so that you're not stopped in your tracks, and are empowered to take aligned actions.
This step is where having a coach providing an objective viewpoint is invaluable. It’s often not until there’s a regular space and time to in the diary to reflect and assess that inner conflicts can come to light and be addressed, perhaps resolving unconscious behaviours that may have been keeping you stuck or holding you back for years.
4) ACTION – together we'll look at the exact steps you need to take between sessions to move you steadily towards your goals. Effective change requires aligned action, and it’s not uncommon for us to spend much of our time moving between steps 3 and 4, although we'll regularly be cycling through all 5 Steps to keep you on track for achieving the changes that you want for your life.
5) REVIEW – this is a chance to assess how things are going as a result of your actions, and to use this feedback to get greater clarity, update the plan if necessary, do any more alignment work and decide on your next best action steps.
What are the benefits of this kind of approach?
While this approach may seem rigid when written down, it's actually an incredibly flexible framework, and definitely not a pre-defined, tick-box system.
While the structure is there as a basis, each person comes with their own unique desires, goals, blocks and challenges. And we'll spend our time in the areas that are most important for you.
Some people may spend several weeks getting clear and then they're off and running needing very little further support. For others, we may spend weeks between alignment and action, untangling thinking that no longer serves, building new thought processes and creating new positive habits.
It's a flexible framework that is just as valuable for making personal changes e.g. procrastination, motivation, dealing with loss, as it is for practical changes such as career changes, job hunts and how to have a better relationship with your partner or boss.
Coaching Topics or Areas
This 5 Step Success Strategy framework can be used across many areas or topics. Here are some of the most common areas that my clients come to coaching for:
- Business Coaching
- Career Coaching
- Leadership Coaching
- Lacking confidence
- Personal Development
- Dealing with Stress and Overwhelm
- Procrastination, Feeling stuck, Low Motivation or Energy
- Relationships and Communication (personal or work)
- Life changes
Where does coaching take place?
I work with many clients by phone or online and also see clients face to face in Stratford Upon Avon.
How many sessions?
This depends on what you’d like to change or achieve. Some people only have a few sessions; others continue for many months. Some clients choose to continue indefinitely because they value some key things that coaching provides them with, such as accountability, a sounding board or a reflection space to hear their own thinking.
However long you choose your journey to be, my commitment to you is that I’ll go the distance with you.

At the end of the day, coaching is a very personal experience and the most important thing is for you to find a coach that you feel relaxed and comfortable with, so that you can be honest and get the most out of your coaching sessions.

What Clients Say - below are some testimonials to give you a sense of your coaching experience.
Business Based Coaching
“Coaching with Sue is like resetting the mind into a different way of thinking. It’s implemented in everything I do in the office. I come up with different ways of doing things than I would have in the past. It’s like a mental refresh. It takes the weight off my shoulders and I come out less stressed: I have a calmer mind-set and a plan in place. Is my time with Sue valuable? 100% yes!” AP
"Sue has a strong understanding of workplace psychology. We now communicate considerably better as individuals and teams, across our business. We have seen notable improvements in employee attitude, drive and organisational skills. The confidence levels of those who were notably insecure have risen considerably. Her work has been invaluable, and I can highly recommend her." RC
Personal Development / Life Coaching
“I now feel more focused and calm about the issues I came to see Sue about. I have more clarity and a definite action plan on how I am going to achieve my goals. I also feel much more positive about my current situation.” JO
"Sue creates a very open and safe atmosphere where I feel confident to talk about and work through things. I recommend anyone to try it out and see for themselves the impact it can have in their personal lives." SS
“I asked Sue for help when my relationship ended. I am reasonably self-aware and had begun to notice a recurring pattern of behaviour on my part. I didn’t want to enter into another relationship without having addressed the behaviour.
She guided me through a series of questions, asking me to notice certain aspects of my behaviour. And then shared with me an observation, which for me was the critical insight. I uncovered a fundamental pattern of behaviour, and in the days that followed, I began to realise the different ways it had affected me throughout my life. It has triggered major positive behavioural changes for me.” MS
“Having a child has made me re-evaluate all my priorities, and having Sue to help me through the crazy, scary and challenging thoughts that fly around my head is proving to be invaluable!” RC
