Thank you for taking the time to find out more about me.
I have been interested in learning and personal development for many years. The first personal development book I read was Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers. It had a massive impact on me and I’ve been hooked on personal development ever since. I understand first hand how coaching and self-improvement can be hugely beneficial.
How Life Coaching can help you
Coaching is an empowering process that helps people to live their life more fully and with purpose. It can help identify what’s important to you and give you more choices as to how you engage with the world. As your coach I work alongside you to create an action plan to implement lasting positive changes. We also work together to seek out and challenge limiting beliefs so that you are able to improve the way you think and move forwards with clarity. Clients comment that they appreciate the time and space to think and be fully listened to by someone non-judgemental.
Who I work with
My particular interest is helping people to improve their well-being and enjoy life more fully. Clients come to me for many different reasons - often when they are going through a period of transition. Maybe they are thinking of changing careers or have started a new job, perhaps they are coming up to retirement or going through a separation, anything where there is change really.
How I work
I work with people on a 1 to 1 basis - Skype, telephone, face to face over a cuppa (dependent on location) and coaching walks (dependent on location). I find walking is a great way to improve clarity of thinking and enhance well-being. Coaching Walks can be conducted over a lunch break if appropriate.
The first session takes about 1.5 hours - this is to establish a clear outcome and find out more about each other. Subsequent sessions are normally 1 hour. It's important that a client feels comfortable and confident with their coach as sometimes it can be a challenging process. I offer a free initial session to see if coaching is for you.
I also deliver workshops on several topics, including goal setting and time management.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my Personal Performance Diploma (Life Coaching) through the Coaching Academy and am currently undertaking my NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner training.
*Experience of mindfulness
*PGCE in LifeLong Learning
My background is varied and includes community development, training / teaching, project work and outdoor education. I love working with people; passing on skills and seeing them develop.
Areas of coaching I deal with
I find that working with clients over a few months is best so that we have time to develop a good working relationship and really get to the heart of the matter. I offer a package of 7 sessions for £450 - this includes an initial session of 1.5 hours to establish your needs, followed by 6 x 1 hour sessions. The investment can be paid in installments.
You are then welcome to access top up sessions at £50 per hour.
2 hour Coaching Walks are £95
You are welcome to arrange a free consultation to see if I am the coach for you.
It's important to recognise that successful people have coaches - working with a coach isn't a sign of weakness. Coaching is an empowering process and can have a massive impact on improving all areas of life, not just the area being coached on.
