Life, Well-being, Mindset and Walking Coach

About me

Hello, I'm Rebecca and I'd love to share some of the benefits of coaching with you.

Clients often come to me for help with a change in direction because they are frustrated with where they are now and are ready to move forwards but not sure how.

Perhaps you relate to some of these feelings / experiences:

You feel like you are drifting through life, being carried along by expectations or pressures from the outside world. You're wondering where you are heading in life or feeling bored. Or maybe it's the opposite and you're feeling overwhelmed by the demands of others or your role.

Are you wanting to work out how to get unstuck so you can move forwards feeling confident in yourself? Everyone can benefit from coaching, including you.

How coaching can help

Coaching is an empowering and supportive process that helps you to live your life more fully and with purpose. It can help identify what’s important to you and give you more choices as to how you deal with challenges. As your coach I work alongside you to help raise your self-awareness and increase your self-confidence.

Once you understand yourself better, you can make the right choices and changes to implement lasting positive results. Improving things in one area of your life often leads to a ripple effect and you start to notice improvement in other areas too. You will learn tools that will help in all areas of your life and improve your mindset so you are more able to deal with whatever life throws at you. Clients comment that they appreciate the time and space to think and be fully listened to by someone non-judgemental.

Why I got into coaching

With a wide range of interests I have pursued many different roles; I couldn’t choose just one thing that I wanted to do. I used to see this as a bit of flaw but actually I began to recognise that there were many benefits - I tried new things, there was always something to learn (one of my passions), I became adaptable and I was constantly developing. I now have a wealth of skills to draw upon which helps me serve my clients.

One thing that has been a constant is the importance of well-being; mine and other peoples. Working hard is all well and good but if you don’t take care of yourself then everything loses it shine. My aim is to help and support you enjoy the many aspects of life. How we show up in life is more important than what we do.

It's important to recognise that successful people have coaches - working with a coach isn't a sign of weakness. Coaching is an empowering process and will have a massive impact on improving all areas of life, not just the area being coached on.

What my clients say...

*I felt that I have found a new person. I always knew that the
person was there, but I don’t usually “bring out” the emotions
and personality but I have found that I really like being me.
Also not worrying about what people think of me if I feel true
and happy with myself then that is all that matters. It has been lovely to discover that I am ok feeling as I am now and not having to put on a “show” (MW, Finance administrator)

*My recovery from being a tearful, frightened new widow to being a settled, happy and ready for life woman is, in large part, down to you and I can't imagine where I'd be without your steady, persuasive approach. (Judy)

*Time to reflect on everything that was happening and acknowledge that how I was feeling was normal and within my power to control.  An opportunity to consider options and understand that there are no “rules” about what I do and when. I learned that my personal well-being is key to ensuring that I can do my job and support my family, therefore to give this serious time and consideration.  I'd not previously thought about how important my hobbies were to me. (Judith, Head Teacher, SEN specialist school)

*I had my development day last weekend which was very scary but I think I got through ok. Just an assessment day to do this weekend and then i will be a qualified level 1 British cycling coach! I nearly didn't go as it was creating quite a lot of anxiety but I guess that is part of developing and growing. Still feeling quite awkward talking to groups of people but getting better. I'm getting so much more than cycling based coaching from this and I'm already applying it to my current job. I wouldn't have got this far without your help so would just like to say a huge thank you and I'll be in touch soon to see what the next step is.

Thanks again, Chris

*I now have a plan of action for managing the move into retirement (Val, Head teacher)

*I'm more relaxed knowing I have control over the goal and it doesn't matter what others think or do (Kathryn, Assistant Head teacher)

*I found it useful to have the time to sit and gather my thoughts into an organised plan and focused direction to head in (Natalie-Claire, Engineer and Coach)
