About me

What's in it for you?
Coaching is a way of helping you to move forward with goals, decision making or understanding yourself. I can help you to see your current situation from different points of view, understand your own thought processes and feel more confident about the choices you make. Imagine having a friend that you could talk to about how you are feeling, who wants to understand you and wants to just listen to you without offering any judgement or advice; someone impartial and independent that you can use as a sounding board to explore all the possibilities in your life. A coach will walk alongside you, listen to your experiences and help you find a way forward.

How can coaching help you?
Coaching can help you see things from different perspectives and to get to know yourself, which can lead to better relationships, more confidence and a deeper understanding of your own needs. Coaching is about exploring your current situation and goals, what the barriers might be to achieving those goals, and finding solutions that feel right for you.

Why choose me?  I am a parent, a teacher and a leader. I value connection, empathy, strong relationships and trust. I want to offer you a safe, open space in which you are able to explore your thinking and challenge your boundaries, in order for you to grow as a person. With over 25 years’ experience of working in teams, as well as being a single parent and business owner, I am passionate about helping people to unlock their own answers and create positive change in their lives. I love to work with people who may be facing challenges but are ready to make changes in their lives. If that sounds like you, what are you waiting for?

Training, qualifications & experience

I have an AC accredited Diploma in Coaching, have been coaching in private practice since October 2021 and have over 25 years of experience as a school leader, mentor and coach in my professional career. I have worked with a wide range of people across my career and I engage in regular independent professional supervision for both my coaching and educational roles. I have also undertaken supervision training via the Centre for Supervision Training and Development (Bath) and am able to work with groups or individuals to offer professional supervision and development.

Further information

I work mainly online or in person and it is important that you feel comfortable. If we are meeting in person I will offer you a tea or coffee so feel free to bring one with you if we meet online! If we are working online or over the phone, please make sure you are somewhere that you feel able to speak freely and away from distractions, so that you can relax and get the most out of the session that you can.

Expectations

I will not:

  • offer advice or tell you what I think you should do
  • offer my opinion on your situation
  • try to analyse your past life events, although we may touch on these as part of the coaching journey
  • ask you to speak about anything that you are not comfortable with.

I will:

  • ask questions so I can get a better understanding of your thinking and empathise with you
  • encourage you to connect to your vision for your future
  • challenge your thinking around the barriers that exist for you
  • be fully present with you in the session and listen to you
  • hold you accountable when you need me to, in order to help you reach your goals
  • offer you a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space for you to invest that time in yourself.

The sessions do not follow a set format because open conversation will take you where you want to go.
