About me
Exam pressure? I know what you and your teen are going through when it comes to exam preparation or career choices! I am a parent myself and a former teacher. Coaching helps your teen - and parents - from revision to exam day and beyond, as it brings focus on clear goals, organisation and independence. I accompany teens to help them find self-confidence, prepare mentally, use effective techniques to manage stress, find the revision strategies that work for them and boost their motivation. We also work on improving communication between parents and teenagers.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have trained with the Life Coach School (LCS) and Brooke Castillo (USA) - I am LCS Tools Certified; and I am completing my Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner level with Paul Pyronnet Institut (the French NLP Leader).
I am a qualified teacher (Qualified Teacher Status) and a "serial graduate"! I hold a MA in Audiovisual Translation, a Master in International Business, and a Postgraduate Degree in Modern Languages applied to International Business. I am a Modern Languages graduate and a Chartered Translator and Linguist. So part of my work apart from coaching is also translation!
I worked as a MFL teacher in secondary schools, from Y7 to Y13. I have also worked in universities (international student recruitment and career counselling) and adult learning.
I spent 10 years as a PA to senior management in a large Oil & Gas company, before moving to freelancing in 2016.
So I have experience working with large companies, small companies, in the private and private sectors, and as a self-employed entrepreneur! I understand working parents, stay at home parents, the demands of a career on parenting, the exam (and social) pressure students face, the communication challenges between parents and their teens... It's all very practical!
I am French and British, I have worked in multicultural environments in Europe, Chile, India...I know how to adjust to different cultures and sociocultural backgrounds and I always keep an open mind!
