About me

I’m Fiona Winter, founder of Future Redesigned™ and a psychologically informed coach specialising in identity, resilience and meaningful life redesign.

I work with people who have reached a point where something needs to change, whether they feel stuck, disconnected from themselves, uncertain about their direction, or simply know they want more from the next stage of their life.

My approach goes beyond traditional goal-setting. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding who you are now, what matters to you, and what may be holding you back. Together, we explore your strengths, values, identity and aspirations, creating the clarity and confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic and unique to you.

Drawing on psychology and coaching, I combine psychological insight with a practical, forward-looking approach. My work is designed to help you understand yourself more deeply, build resilience, recognise possibilities and turn insight into meaningful action.

You may be navigating a major transition, rebuilding confidence, redefining your sense of purpose, considering a new direction, or simply questioning whether the life you are living still reflects the person you have become.

You do not have to fit a particular label or arrive with all the answers. Coaching gives you the space to explore what comes next and to consciously shape a future that reflects who you are, what matters to you, and where you want to go.

Training, qualifications & experience

My background combines academic psychology, psychologically informed practice, and extensive experience supporting people through complex life circumstances, change, and transition.

I hold an MSc in Psychology of Health & Wellbeing and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, and I am currently undertaking doctoral research in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology.

I am also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS), reflecting my professional experience and contribution within the field of psychology.

Throughout my career, I have worked across a wide range of settings, including NHS services, higher education wellbeing, prisons, recovery and addiction services, homelessness support, victim services, and crisis and domestic abuse services. This breadth of experience has given me a strong understanding of how significant life experiences can affect identity, confidence, resilience, motivation and a person’s sense of direction.

I also have specialist experience in addictions and recovery and maintain professional memberships and registrations relevant to my practice.

My coaching is informed by positive psychology, coaching psychology and psychological theory, but I believe professional knowledge is most valuable when it is translated into something practical, supportive and relevant to the individual.

I bring both psychological understanding and real-world experience to my work, while recognising that every person’s circumstances, identity and goals are different. My role is to provide a thoughtful, inclusive and non-judgemental space in which clients can explore change and move forward in a way that feels right for them.

Further information

A significant part of what I bring to my work comes from the breadth of my professional experience and the different people and circumstances I have encountered throughout my career.

My wider experience has included work within the NHS and health-related services, higher education wellbeing, prisons, addiction and recovery services, homelessness support and crisis settings. Across these roles, I have supported people facing very different challenges, yet common themes often emerge around identity, confidence, resilience, belonging, self-belief and the ability to imagine a different future.

I have also worked within Victim Support, domestic abuse services and multi-agency safeguarding settings, including work involving both female and male victims. This has given me a strong appreciation of the complexity of people’s experiences and the importance of approaching every individual without assumptions about gender, background or circumstance.

Working across such varied environments has taught me the importance of looking beyond labels or presenting problems and understanding the whole person. It has also strengthened my belief that people should be supported with dignity, curiosity and respect for their individual experiences rather than being defined by what has happened to them.

Alongside my professional and academic experience, I also bring lived understanding of significant life change and the process of having to reconsider identity, expectations and future direction. This contributes to the empathy and realism I bring to my coaching while maintaining clear professional boundaries.

These combined experiences have shaped Future Redesigned and my approach to coaching. My work is psychologically informed, evidence-informed, and grounded in an understanding that meaningful change looks different for every individual.
