About me
Many people reach a point where life simply feels too much.
You may be holding everything together on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside.
You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward with Anxiety or low mood at the forefront.
These experiences are common — and they’re often the result of nervous system overload, long-standing stress patterns, and life transitions that shift your identity and emotional capacity.
You’re not broken.
You’re responding exactly how a human responds under pressure, loss, or emotional strain.
You may have spent years being the peacemaker, the strong one, the fixer, the one who holds everything together.
And now…
something inside you is asking for more:
• more peace
• more grounding
• more authenticity
• more connection to your own needs
• more space to feel without being overwhelmed
My approach integrates therapeutic practices, NLP methodologies, and life coaching principles, informed by both clinical training and lived experience to create a grounded, compassionate space for meaningful change.
I am dedicated to helping you understand what your nervous system, emotions, and inner world are trying to tell you — so you can move forward with clarity and self-trust.
🌿 Why You Feel Stressed, Overwhelmed or Lost
When life changes, your body responds.
Not because you're weak — but because you’re human.
You may be experiencing:
• anxiety, overthinking, emotional overwhelm or low mood.
• exhaustion from people pleasing
• feeling "too much" or "not enough"
• feeling stuck, disconnected or shut down
• difficulty setting boundaries
• midlife restlessness or identity shifts
• parenting stress and emotional triggers
• grief after loss or separation
• losing yourself in relationships
These are not personality flaws.
They are nervous system responses rooted in survival patterns you learned long ago.
And they can change.
🌿 My Approach
My approach isn’t about quick strategies or surface-level mindset shifts.
It’s about understanding the nervous system, attachment patterns, and the protective parts of us that formed early in life.
Many of the behaviours people struggle with — anxiety, people-pleasing, emotional shutdown, over-responsibility — are intelligent adaptations.
We explore what’s underneath before trying to change what’s on the surface.
Because when the nervous system feels safer, change happens naturally.
That’s the foundation of my work- to help you reconnect with who you truly are — not the version of you that’s been shaped by fear, guilt, or expectation, but the real, authentic self that’s always been within.
A nervous-system–informed, trauma-aware approach that is transformational and blends:
✨ Support through major life transitions
✨ Emotional and relational healing
✨ Nervous system regulation using polyvagal theory
✨ Reconnection with your authentic self — not the version that’s been shaped
by fear, guilt, or expectation
✨understanding the physiology of Anxiety and low mood so lasting change can happen.
✨Understanding the drives of our unconscious and integration through shadow work
✨ Understanding the fawn / people-pleasing response
✨ Therapeutic and Conscious parenting principles
You don’t need to “push through” or “fix yourself.”
You need a safe space to land — and someone who understands how your body, emotions, and past experiences shape your present.
Together, we gently shift patterns that no longer serve you, while strengthening the ones that bring you home to yourself.
🌿 Areas of Support:
🌱 Life Transitions
Whether you're navigating midlife, parenthood, identity shifts, separation, divorce, bereavement or career change— I support you in finding stability, clarity and self-compassion through every chapter.
🌱 Emotional Healing & Self-Rediscovery
Move through grief, inner conflict, emotional triggers, and long-held patterns to create a life that feels aligned, grounded, and meaningful.
🌱 Parenting Support
Integrating Therapeutic/conscious parenting and nervous system understanding to help you regulate yourself so you can better co-regulate your child during stressful moments. Fully understanding the physiology and root causes of Anxiety and low mood so lasting change can happen.
Together, we uncover what’s driving the struggle, understand the nervous system, and shape new patterns that bring calm, confidence, and a sense of personal freedom. My work is integrative, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that change happens from the inside out.
🌿 This Is For You If…
• you’re navigating a painful or confusing transition
• you are tired of being “the strong one”
• you care deeply, but feel stretched thin
• you want healthier relationships
• you’re constantly overwhelmed or exhausted
• you’ve lost touch with who you are
• you want to feel more grounded and emotionally safe
• you’re ready for change
I offer 1-2-1 coaching sessions as well as workshops and small coaching groups both on line and in person.
Midlife Changes: Reconnecting With Who You Are Now Midlife can hit us like a rock. Everything can feel up in the air and we can question who we are. We can feel we have lost our purpose, our role and our identity. So much can get in the way and with it a confidence crisis. As roles shift (parenting, relationships, identity, security), many feel restless, stuck, invisible, or disconnected from their needs. The nervous system may push toward old survival habits: people-pleasing, overworking, perfectionism, or numbing.
Together we work on: Understanding the inner voice and its old survival stories.
Regulating stress patterns so you can make grounded choices.
Rediscovering values, needs, and direction that feel authentic now.
Midlife can become a turning point — from living to please others to living in alignment with yourself.
Parenting: Supporting Regulation for You and Your Child Parenting can bring joy, but it also exposes old wounds, self-doubt, and hidden stress patterns. When a child’s emotions feel overwhelming, adults can become triggered, not because we are “failing,” but because our nervous system responds from past experiences and stored beliefs.
My approach supports parents to: Regulate their own nervous system first, so they can calm their child without shutting them down.
Understand the root causes of triggers, rather than using short-term behaviour fixes. Understand the physiology of Anxiety and low mood so lasting change can happen.
Break cycles of people-pleasing, guilt, or reactivity, and parent with grounded confidence.
This is not about “getting it right”; it’s about becoming emotionally safe enough for connection to grow.
Bereavement: Holding Grief Without Losing Yourself Grief can shake everything—our body, our thinking, relationships, and sense of meaning. It can leave life feeling unfamiliar, as though the world has changed shape around you. I support you in growing around your grief — understanding how loss affects your nervous system, your identity, and your relationships. Together we explore patterns that may arise from pain (numbing, over-giving, shutting down, self-criticism) and gently create space for new meaning, emotional stability, and a grounded way forward that honours both your loss and your continued life.
I provide a space to: Regulate the nervous system through grief, so emotions can be felt without overwhelm.
Let go of learned beliefs like “I must stay strong for others.”
Build a life where sadness and hope can exist together.
Relationship Breakdown & Separation: Reclaiming Self After Loss Relationship endings often leave people questioning their worth, identity, or future. Stress responses such as anxiety, shutdown, over-thinking, or people-pleasing are common when we fear abandonment or rejection.
Through trauma-informed coaching, we explore: The nervous system’s response to heartbreak (fight, flight, freeze, fawn).
Root beliefs about love and worth, formed in childhood and replayed in relationships.
Rebuilding identity and trust in yourself, rather than looking for external validation.
The goal isn’t to simply “move on,” but to grow into a version of yourself that no longer has to shrink to be loved.
Career Change & Finding Purpose: Leading From Authenticity Work challenges often reflect internal patterns: fear of being seen, discomfort with saying “no,” carrying too much responsibility, or feeling like you have to prove your worth. These aren’t personality flaws — they are nervous system responses shaped by early experiences.
My approach helps you: Identify the root beliefs driving work behaviour (perfectionism, self-doubt, over-giving).
Regulate performance anxiety and emotional burnout.
Create a direction that feels meaningful and grounded, rather than pressured or reactive.
Career clarity isn’t just about the job — it’s about who you’re becoming as you choose it.
Client reviews:
'Davina offers a unique blend of deep psychotherapeutic expertise and a practical coaching approach. She is warm, insightful, caring and empowering. I immediately felt I could tell her anything and be held and supported. I’ve spent thousands on both therapy and coaching over the years and would say I have made more breakthroughs in a few months with her than with others elsewhere. The reality is that when we know better, we do better. Sometimes we don’t just need empathy and holding and curious questions; we need our experience named and validated. Highly recommend working with her if you want to move forward and get free.’ V.E.B
'Davina is incredibly knowledgable, insightful and skilled ! I have felt totally held and seen by her and can now for the first time see why I had felt so stuck for years. She has inspired and helped me to live my life freely! I would highly recommend her!' Paula Brooks
