Career coach for the arts & culture sector

About me

I work with arts and culture professionals on the brink of leaving the sector, to help them make clear decisions about what to do next in their career so they can protect their wellbeing without losing their identity. This doesn’t necessarily mean leaving the sector you love! I've coached theatre directors, writers, programmers, curators, fundraisers, publishers, venue managers, actors and architects among others from the creative and cultural sector.

Through coaching conversations I support you to work out how to keep the elements of your work that bring you joy and meaning, and that are intimately tied to your identity, and which elements you need to change in order to craft a career that’s manageable and sustainable.

Coaching sessions take place outside while we walk in green spaces and parks in north London and central London. Away from the four walls of the office/rehearsal room/gallery/studio and out in the open air, I take your wellbeing as seriously as your career development. The movement, fresh air, greenery and spaciousness open up new perspectives and encourage creative thinking.

I offer a combination of compassion, gentleness, firmness and rigour (in the words of my clients). "I feel a huge weight has been lifted from me... Just the act of talking and letting it all out was really so helpful, you immediately created a safe space I could do that - thank you!" (Jo, London)

"Charlotte is an intelligent, caring and gentle (yet equally firm) coach. I would strongly recommend coaching with her to whoever feels stuck in their career and needs support in identifying a clear direction". (Silvia, South London)

"You have been a very important person in my life over the past year. I was quite low when I asked for your help. With your insightful guidance and kindness you supported me to build my confidence. And from that I have been able to change my life for the better by facing up to my fears, taking on new challenges and making important decisions." (Ben, East London)
