Do you like or loathe your Monday mornings?
Disliking or finding your job or career choice stressful can lead to burnout and lack in many areas of your life.
It puts pressure on relationships and can lead to dissatisfaction, a loss of self-esteem, poor productivity and reduced creativity. It’s not a recipe for a happy life at all.
So what is holding you back from taking action?
- Fear of what you’ll find?
- Lack of ideas?
- Being conditioned to provide at any cost?
- Limiting beliefs? I can’t do that. I should do what I trained to do…
- Negative thinking?
These are just a few of the ways that your thinking or mindset can get in the way of achieving your true potential and having that true zest for your work and life.
Imagine, you have criteria for choosing a house or a car and I wonder, do you give the same consideration to your career? Do you jump at every possible opportunity, no matter the outcome for you?
When you are faced with feelings of Monday morning dread and perhaps increasingly serious problems with stress and anxiety that are impacting your wellbeing what can you do? Well instead of thinking I must find a way to love my work there’s an alternative way of looking at this. You can stop and consider the career path you have taken, the company you work for or the business you currently run.
If you are ready to take this step you might choose a professional source of support, you might be ready to hire a coach.
Why consider a professional coach?
Your coach is there for you and is ready to commit to a process that’s all about you and gaining the best for you. They can help you to release those suppressed hopes and dreams. You can play out the pros and cons and the risks involved in a safe environment.
You can also safely evaluate your options and take action because if something feels broke, it’s a really good idea to fix it.
You can learn what your true values are and identify your strengths. These things are not always easy to do alone.
So, are you just staying in your job feeling unfilled, taking that new job offer because it’s safe? Are you building the business or career that you think you should do, not because you feel a passion for it?
If this is you right now, is it time to change?
