About me
Hello, I’m Laura
I specialise in integrative, evidence-based approaches that support meaningful and sustainable wellbeing. My work combines psychotherapy, behaviour change strategies and coaching psychology to help individuals move from insight to action.
My Approach
I offer one-to-one therapy, coaching and professional development support. In coaching, I work collaboratively through careful observation, reflective listening and structured exploration to help clients generate solutions aligned with their values and long-term goals.
A core principle of my practice is fostering a commitment to action. Together, we identify clear goals, develop practical action plans and address barriers to change, enabling lasting personal growth rather than short-term motivation alone.
Qualifications and Professional Standing
I hold a PhD in psychology with research focused on the interplay between mindfulness, compassion, and embodied processes. I am also a guest lecturer on an MSc in Mindfulness and Compassion at a local university.
In 2022, I was among the first psychologists in the UK to be awarded Chartered Coaching Psychologist status by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I have undertaken additional training in health psychology, enabling me to support individuals managing the psychological impact of long-term health conditions, including autoimmune disorders.
I have also completed the SDS Essentials Clinical Supervision course and am eligible for inclusion on the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors.
Supervision and Professional Support
I provide supervision to counsellors, coaches, and other helping professionals, including Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs). Supervision offers a confidential and reflective space to explore clinical work, ethical considerations, professional identity and personal wellbeing.
I also support practitioners working towards BPS Coaching Psychology Chartership, offering structured supervision and guidance to develop the required competencies.
In addition, I work with organisations seeking to strengthen staff wellbeing and manage workplace stress through psychologically informed supervision and support.
Professional Experience
I bring over 12 years’ experience across diverse settings, including:
University mental health services
Mind
Schools across the Midlands
YMCA
