About me
I’m Tom Harrington, a qualified Life Coach and founder of The Harrington Rose (HTR).
There is a lot to life.
There is the direction we’re heading in. The people we share it with. What we learn. What we build. What we carry with us. Decisions we haven’t yet made. Things we know we want more from, even when we don’t quite know what ‘more’ looks like yet. And sometimes, the sense that something needs to change - even before we can see what might happen next.
That is where coaching can begin.
My role is to listen closely, ask questions worth asking, notice what emerges, and stay with you as you explore it. Sometimes that means seeing something you haven’t seen before, or finally giving your attention to something that has been waiting for it. Sometimes it creates the clarity, confidence, or momentum to make a change and find out what happens next.
Alongside coaching sits The Harrington Rose. Underneath The Harrington Rose are its roots: Direction, Learning, Self-Care, Rest, Movement, Food, Connection, Play and Nature.
Like the roots of a rose, they sit beneath the surface, distinct but interconnected. Each is familiar to us, yet lived differently from person to person. Together they give us a way of recognising what we share while paying attention to what is uniquely our own - what nourishes us, what shapes us, where we are growing, and what might be asking for our attention. The roots are shared; their expression is personal.
Coaching is another place to pay attention.
A conversation can become a decision. A decision can become an action. A different perspective can change the way you meet something tomorrow. And sometimes, a small shift in one part of life reaches much further than you expected. Where that leads is yours to discover.
You don’t need to know exactly where to begin, just begin.
