Training, qualifications & experience
The relationship-help space in the UK is largely unregulated. Anyone can call themselves a “coach”, and the difference between a weekend-certified influencer and a properly qualified practitioner is not always obvious from the outside.
My primary qualification is a Diploma in Professional Coaching from The Coaching Academy (Accredited CPD course). Accompanying this, I have in-depth CPD across the disciplines that inform the way I work with couples. This includes study with Positive Intelligence, The Brain Academy, The Chimp Theory and Irene Lyon (Trauma & Stress Regulation).
I also lean on the three most evidence-backed frameworks for couples work; Imago Therapy, The Gottman Institute and Attachment Theory.
I think it's important to consider that I work with couples all day, every day. Not a side of what I do, the whole of what I do.
I am the author of Mindset Dad, a book written to help new dads navigate the emotional, practical and relational transition into fatherhood. Available on Amazon and through major UK booksellers.
The book grew out of my own experience after my son was born in 2015, the same experience that led me into coaching in the first place.
I am a coach, not a clinical therapist. If a client needs CBT, EMDR or psychiatric support, I will say so and signpost.
I do not guarantee outcomes. I will tell you honestly on the discovery call whether I think the work is likely to help in your specific situation.
My structured approach has now reached over 8,000 people through my online, individuals and couples support.
With over 50 verified online 5* reviews, I recommend searching @StephenBradshawCoach if you'd like to find out more from other couples in similar situations to you.
Equally, feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions.
Thanks,
~Steve~
