About me

In our complex and uncertain world my mission is to help you work towards greater wholeness and social change.

Is this you?

Are you an educator, activist, entrepreneur, artist, creator, public sector worker or SEND parent who is:

  • Doubting you can have any real influence
  • Anxious and overwhelmed
  • Trying to give to others from an empty cup
  • Struggling to connect to your creativity or joy
  • Noticing thoughts and behaviours are holding you back
  • Longing for a clear future direction or path
  • Fearful of a big transition or change
  • Sensing something new and exciting is emerging

I work with people and groups to help them:

  • Reconnect to self, others and nature
  • Discover ways to access calm and get perspective
  • Be more present and aware
  • Explore beliefs, assumptions and unconscious mindsets
  • View challenges as opportunities for meaningful change
  • Gain awareness of wider systems and how they function
  • Find purpose and direction
  • Connect to inspiration, creativity and flow
  • Identify ways to navigate and move forwards when stuck
  • Develop powers (Will) to act and get things done
  • Bend rather than break
  • Walk their own unique path and stay focuses on what matters

If you feel this resonates with you I'd love to hear from you.

The future is full of possibilities.

Training, qualifications & experience

About me
I am a good listener. I have a calm manner and a generous heart.  I'm compassionate, enthusiastic and uplifting.

For the past 35 years I've worked professionally with people across the charity, public and private sectors. Striving and trying to be a force for good in the world.

The areas of change I've personally focused on include disability, ill health, homelessness, addiction, poverty, unemployment, stress, anxiety and crisis of purpose.

I've learnt that getting busy doesn't always bring the change we want. We are being called towards a transformation of our inner life and to do deep work on ourselves. To change beliefs, mindsets, bring on board the parts of us we don't value or have cut off for some reason. I've discovered that outer change flows naturally from that new inner place. Our true work is to work on Being, not just doing.

Trust, empathy and connection are the foundation needed for this work at depth and walk into the shadows. I have a track record of building strong connections with people.

I always start where people are at with no fixed agenda. Keeping open minded and open hearted allows me to work flexibly with what is emerging and to harness creativity, intuition and whatever else shows up to help.

I have qualifications in Leadership and Management, Community and Youth Work, Psychosynthesis Leadership Coaching (Postgraduate level) and, a bit wierdly, in Land Surveying.

I am an EMCC Accredited Coach at Practitioner Level. As a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council I adhere to its code of ethics and standards. I have a current enhanced DBS check and professional indemnity insurance.

I also work with non profit organisations on strategic change and specialise in inclusion and issues relating to special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

I volunteer with two co-operatives. I am a leader in The Woodcraft Folk, a youth empowerment movement. And I am Treasurer and on the Board of Community Assets for Society and Housing which supports the evolution of co-op housing.

My daily personal development practices learnt from Zen Buddhism (Plum Village Tradition), Psychosynthesis, Positive Psychology and a sprinkling of Taoism.

I love to cook,  cycle, go walking and to sit around a campfire with friends.

I am a native Londoner and live in South East London with my partner and our grown-up son.

Areas of coaching I deal with

Other areas of coaching I deal with

I generally help people navigate and lead themselves through times of chaos and challenge. Times when you really need someone walking with you.

My lived experience and professional life has led me to begin to offer  coaching to the parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Several of my family members have disabilities and I work as a SEND advisor so know the challenges personally and also the system well.

I also work one to one with people employed or volunteering in non profit organisations such as charities, schools, local government etc who feel overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out or who are longing for something new to emerge in their lives. Over 30 years as a leader and manager in this sector helps informs my work. I can also offer mentoring in this area.
