Life Design Coaching - Create Your Game Plan

About me

I’m the founder of Game Plan Life Coaching, where I work with individuals and groups to help them get clear on what they really want from life and their career, then create the game plan to make it happen.

Play and freedom are my core values. They drive pretty much all aspects of my life and career. And so, I encourage you to play with possibilities, bring your bold ideas to life, and create opportunities that light you up and are aligned with what you value.

I thrive in new environments and have purposefully carved out a rich and varied career path, collecting many ‘gems’ along the way to bring to the next challenge. I love to inspire others to play by their own rules too. It’s why I became a coach - to help people create positive, lasting change by working out what really excites them, then developing the mindset and strategy to make it real.

Typically I work with people who are wanting to challenge what's expected of them, nearing burn out or who struggle with people pleasing but you don't need to fit in a box to reach out. I hold an ICF-accredited diploma in transformational coaching with leading training body Animas. I’m also credentialed at PCC level by the ICF. That’s a lot of letters, but it basically means that I've put in the work and know my stuff.

My coaching is about: finding confidence, holding you accountable and challenging you to find what you really want. I am fair, playful and not afraid to say what I see. I prefer to work slightly more fluidly - just like there isn't one way for us to live our lives, I don't believe there's one way for us to be coached.

Coaching is a catalyst for making the change you want to see. It's an important process as it supports you to look deeper, challenge yourself and really understand why you make the decisions you do in a shorter space of time than if you were working it out alone. My clients have told me that working with me makes the process less scary, more enjoyable and keeps you accountable so it all happens sooner! As a side note, if you're curious about gamification and how play can also be a part of the process, just ask.

I offer one-off sessions or ongoing coaching, depending on your needs.

If you’re curious, you can you can book one session as a free, no-obligation discovery call to experience coaching and see if it’s the right fit for you.

If you're interested in staff coaching or executive coaching for your company then please get in touch as I also offer this service.

Testimonials

Nicola has been such an important part of my journey. She helped me overcome the fear of being "too much" and the constant fear of failure that was holding me back. Most importantly, I’ve gone from being scared of change to actually feeling excited about it. Raquel

Nicola is extremely intuitive and an amazing listener. I immediately felt comfortable and safe to share, even with only virtual video calls. She is able to customize practical homework that aligns with your goals and needs, and she does not waste time on things that you do not want to discuss.' Jon

I have found every session incredibly helpful  - there have been plenty of lightbulb moments that have helped me navigate a period of lots of ambiguity in my life. Emma

I signed up for coaching because I wanted to get clear on what direction I wanted to go in, but actually I have learned so much more about myself in terms of getting the basics right of looking after myself, the importance of taking small action steps and building the confidence to trust my gut and my decisions.  Emily

The sessions helped me clarify a lot of things and reduced mental clutter which was very useful for my general well-being. It also gives me a clearer and simpler sense of direction.  Zain

Areas of coaching I deal with

Other areas of coaching I deal with

As someone who runs their own business (and has set up and closed another), I have a variety of experience as an entrepreneur and founder. I have also worked at SMEs and start-ups before working for myself.

I have lived experience of Autism and ADHD and am really interested in how people can structure their work and home environments to get the most out of what they want from life.

Given my background and passion for play and games, I am inspired by how we can use words and playful approaches to changing how we see things and to enjoy the process of course!

Further information

I know some people like to feel they have something in common with their coach and so here are some things that might be of interest to you.

- I'm queer and realising I'm part of the LGBTQ community in my thirties has been one other way I've been able to fully embrace and live the life I wish to lead.

- I have worked as an Account Manager and an Events Specialist and have been working for myself since 2018. I qualified as a coach in 2020.

- Like a lot of people, I went to school, then university, then got a 9-to-5 job with a plan of finding a partner and settling down. But also like a lot of people, I felt pretty unfulfilled. That's what lead to me working for myself in 2017.

- I subscribe to Burner principles which, for the uninitiated means I care deeply about radical self-expression, participation and radical self-reliance to name my top 3 principles!

- If you don't think coaching is for you then get in touch, I was sceptical of coaching before I got a coach so have a chat with me so I can show you what it can do!

Testimonials

"I really enjoyed the sessions & I cannot explain the impact they have had on my life. I found your way of opening my mind up worked really well. I liked your seemingly subtle approach & always felt at ease & able to open up."

Katy Ware

"Thank you for giving up your time. You have helped me begin a journey that I needed to start, and now I can begin to feel excited as well as challenged by it. I am starting to try and understand myself a bit more, and feel I am gaining confidence in doing so. Thanks!"

Charlie H.

"I was a little bit of a sceptic about coaching before I started and I wasn't sure if it would work for me. However I'm a complete convert now and feel that it really helped me make positive change."
