About me

Whether you're considering a career change, facing leadership challenges, or feeling stuck about another area of your life, I can help you to gain clarity, confidence and momentum.

Using a combination of practical tools and thoughtful questioning, I have 20+ years’ experience and specialise in enabling professionals who feel unfulfilled to find the career direction that best matches them and in supporting leaders to be at their best.

My clients’ backgrounds range from law and tech to design and communications, across all sectors.

Results my clients have achieved, include:

  • Finding a new fulfilling career direction
  • Increasing their confidence and their ability to deal with a nagging “inner critic”
  • Identifying their leadership style and building stronger working relationships
  • A better work life balance
  • Gaining a promotion and making their mark quickly in their new role
  • Improving their relationships with partners, family and friends

About me and what clients say

Clients often describe me as warm, down-to-earth and practical. My background is in leading communications teams in Government, so I understand the busy, pressurised environments that many of my clients are working in and how to best overcome the difficulties of making a career change.

Here’s what one client said about career coaching with me:

“Michelle is friendly yet professional and, most importantly, never judgmental. She has guided me through a significant career change, always asking the probing questions when I needed them and helping me navigate sometimes choppy waters. I honestly don't think I would have had the courage to make the change I have without her gentle yet firm reminders that it is "ok" to be true to myself and to my core values. I’m excited for my new chapter ahead.”

And here's what another client has said about life coaching with me:

"Michelle has been a Godsend. She has helped me realise that I was extremely stressed, bordering on manic and unhappy in my current role. She instilled in me the confidence to look after myself and to stop the people pleasing. She probably saved my life in all honesty, as I managed to slow down and evaluate what was important to me before I got seriously ill. Michelle’s manner is warm, approachable yet action based. Everybody needs a Michelle in their life – money well invested!"

How I work

My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to help you think more clearly, challenge unhelpful assumptions and take action towards what matters most to you.

I work with people online and face to face.  The number of sessions depends on my clients' objectives but to create real, lasting change, I recommend a minimum of six life coaching sessions over two to three months. And for career coaching, the minimum number of sessions varies from six to twelve.

As well as working with my self-funding private clients, I work on a corporate basis, where an organisation is paying to help one of their leaders to grow in their role. This might be to support someone at the earlier stages of their career to move from management into leadership, or to help someone to moving into more senior level director or Board level roles.
