About me
Whether you want a new career, to be your best in your existing field or to make a change in another area of your life, you probably know it’ll be easier to make changes with someone supportive alongside you.
I help people to change their career to something fulfilling and enjoyable for them, to develop as leaders and to improve other areas of their lives. By providing tools and having coaching conversations, I enable them to get unstuck and into action with whatever they want to work on.
With over 20 years' experience as a fully qualified coach, I specialise in career coaching and executive / leadership coaching.
Down to earth and approachable, my background is in leading communications teams in Government, so I understand the busy, pressurised environments that many of my clients are working in and what’s it’s like to go through career change.
Results that people have achieved from coaching with me, include:
- Finding a career direction that is fulfilling and enjoyable for them
- Increasing their confidence and their ability to deal with a nagging “inner critic”
- Identifying their leadership style and building stronger working relationships
- A better work life balance
- Gaining a promotion and making their mark quickly in their new role
- Improving their relationships with partners, family and friends
Before becoming a coach, I spent a long time feeling that my own career wasn't the right match for me, so I know how frustrating it is to want to change career. I enjoy helping my clients find work that they love and I've trained hundreds of other coaches to do this too.
About me and what clients say
Here’s what one client has to say about career coaching with me:
“I was unhappy in my work and desperate for a change but had no idea where to turn. Career coaching with Michelle helped me re-focus on what I really wanted from work and how to get it. I’ve now found a great new position that chimes with my values and that is much more than a 'just another job' for me.”
And here's what another client has said about life coaching with me:
"Michelle has been a Godsend. She has helped me realise that I was extremely stressed, bordering on manic and unhappy in my current role. She instilled in me the confidence to look after myself and to stop the people pleasing. She probably saved my life in all honesty, as I managed to slow down and evaluate what was important to me before I got seriously ill. Michelle’s manner is warm, approachable yet action based. Everybody needs a Michelle in their life – money well invested!"
As well as working with my private clients, I work on a corporate basis, helping leaders to grow in their role, ensuring the areas they want to focus on meet the needs of their organisation too..
How I work
I work with people online and face to face. The number of sessions depends on my clients' objectives but to create real, lasting change, I recommend a minimum of six life coaching sessions over two to three months. And for career coaching, the minimum number of sessions varies from six to twelve.
