About me

Until further notice, all consultations are by telephone or video call. If you need help but have suffered financially because of Covid 19, please still get in touch.

I am a Wellbeing and Confidence Life Coach.

Confidence coaching helps in many ways:

  • feeling good about who you are
  • feeling good about how you look
  • having confidence in the way you respond to people
  • making decisions
  • being able to say no to things you don't want to do
  • feeling in control of your eating or drinking habits
  • being able to say what you mean and be heard
  • feeling that you are effective as a parent
  • taking control of anxieties
  • reducing stress
  • being able to deal with the ups and downs in relationships
  • feeling confident in your job
  • being able to ask for what you want
  • self-acceptance
  • doing what you want to do

I will help you to make the changes you need - please see my website for more information about coaching.

I also coach those with emotional eating issues - using a compassionate and holistic approach to address both the emotional issues and the eating / bingeing habits or auto-pilots. To make permanent change, both issues to be addressed -diet after diet just won't do it! You can find more details on my website.

In addition, I coach and offer support to adults with ADHD (diagnosed or undiagnosed) and the parents of children with ADHD. I have 19 years' experience of working with children with ADHD and have studied to increase my knowledge. For parents, coaching may take form of help with personal or family goals and coping strategies. For adults, I provide coaching and support - whether you have a diagnosis or simply suspect you have ADHD. I understand that your fabulous neuro-diverse brain works in its own way, so I tailor my coaching style for each individual, using that knowledge. You may want help with achieving future plans, with managing day-to-day or you may just want to talk and ask questions. All my coaching is flexible and client-led but these sessions can be as practical as you like. (Please note, I am not qualified to make a diagnosis.)

Please contact me for a free consultation - so that we can discuss your needs and check that coaching is right for you.

I offer face-to-face coaching, telephone and video call, whichever suits you best.

Face-to-face is at The Tree Room Centre in Colchester town centre, or in a public place such as a coffee shop - we could even go for a walk!

Until further notice, all sessions will be by telephone or video call due to the Corona Virus lock down.

As everyone's life-balance is different, I also offer weekend and evening appointments.

Further information

Laura, April 2020: I found Linda through The Life Coach Directory. I have a fairly recent diagnosis of ADHD and it has been a bit of a struggle. Linda was very kind, listened to me and came up with some practical strategies to help me manage my anxiety, and put into practice some solid ways of organising myself and beginning to overcome my talent for procrastination. The sessions were fun and always helpful, and the work done has been an ongoing help to me.

Fran, Colchester ('This is Me!' workshop 27/10/19):  It was fab! I really enjoyed it and came away with lots to think about and have had a couple of 'wow' moments since the day, when I have really considered why and how I feel about certain things and how I react and how they are linked to so many past events! I am trying to work through them with your suggestions and inspirations from the day.

Jenny E, Colchester ('This is Me! workshop 27/10/19): I found being with amazing women who were willing to share their feelings a great privilege and Linda's guidance through the session lovely and very empowering. I now have some positive strategies to move forward.

Karen, Colchester, July 2019:  Such a warm, professional and compassionate lady. Linda is made for the role as a life coach. Would highly recommend her.

Rebecca, Suffolk, May 2019:  Linda is a compassionate skilled person and has a natural unique ability to get to the heart of the problem.
She is friendly, trustworthy, sincere and easy to talk to.

In our coaching sessions, she always made me feel like she truly cared.

Just by following her lead and putting in the work, you will come out a new stronger ‘You’.

Sue B, Essex, March 2019:  I have recently visited Linda to deal with pressures from the past and present. Linda has a very unique way of helping you achieve the life you deserve. So glad I saw Linda and would thoroughly recommend her to others.

Susie, Colchester, January 2019:  Linda gave me a coaching session and I found it such a different approach to things, it was worth going... Linda is wonderful and very calming! I recommend highly... Thankyou!

Carole, Colchester, January 2019:  I have had three Life Coaching sessions with Linda and I can honestly say that I have felt progressively better after each one.  I was encouraged to talk about my issues and gently prompted to work my way through my feelings and emotions, not worrying about getting upset and tearful but seeing that as a release of pent up frustration.  Linda encouraged me to look at things from a different perspective and we practised some exercises that helped me to develop strategies to resolve my problems for myself, which is the main aim of Life Coaching.  I found it to be an amazingly rewarding and calming process and would not hesitate to recommend Linda to anyone who is feeling troubled by any aspects of their life.  She is wonderfully empathetic, perceptive and totally professional.

Sue, Colchester, November 2018: I found my life coaching experience to be very uplifting and empowering. The fact that you listened to me 100% instilled me with so much confidence and it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders as I had been carrying around a lot of excess baggage of negative thoughts. After the first session there felt light at the end of the tunnel and I was feeling more positive. The rapport we had together felt as if no subject was taboo so thank you. I will be recommending you to all my friends and would like to take this opportunity to wish you every success in the future as you deserve it.

Thank you once again.

Amanda, Colchester, September 2018: I have always thought that when faced with a problem there are two courses of action – fix the problem by myself or if I can’t, then just ignore it and hope it goes away.

When the opportunity for Life Coaching with Linda presented itself, I thought it would be interesting to give it a try but didn’t really expect to gain much from it. How wrong I was!

Linda has enabled me to explore areas of my life which I am finding difficult. Rather than just avoiding the things which are holding me back, Linda has supported me to reflect on what I might like to change and how I may be able to do this.  She is so easy to talk to that I have not felt embarrassed or awkward. I find it difficult to ask for help, but Linda has made me feel that I am helping myself. She doesn’t give me ‘answers’ but has enabled me to view my feelings in a different way and consider alternatives.

Life Coaching may appear to be a ‘luxury’ but in our busy lives, knowing as we do the importance of good mental health, I think my sessions with Linda may actually be a necessity for my wellbeing.

P.S. Essex, October 2018:  Linda made it very clear that any information shared would be held in the strictest confidence and explained what would happen clearly. At the beginning of each session I was greeted warmly and put at my ease, settling into a calm, quiet room. Linda has an easy friendly manner, listens carefully and asks pertinent questions to promote me thinking of a way through any issues that I have identified. Areas to focus on were decided on by me once an analysis of all areas of life had been charted. Linda supported my thinking rather than telling me what to do. It was a really useful experience for me and after only three sessions, I now give more time to sit and think through my options. My assessment of different areas of life had shifted after three. I found it a really useful experience and I fully recommend Linda as a life coach.

Meg, Leamington Spa, October 2018:  Linda gave me life coaching before my driving test, and it was an immensely helpful experience! It definitely helped with my anxiety on the day, and Linda herself is such a caring, calm, warm person - speaking to her helped put a lot of things into focus and perspective, and I would thoroughly recommend her!
