About us

Hi, I’m Nick Simmonds, a coach with 20 years’ experience. I support people make changes in their personal and professional lives.

What kind of change are you looking for?

You may want a change of job, or career.  You may want changes in your personal life. Or you may want to change your relationship with yourself and be happier. Or you may want a different kind of change.

Over the years, working with hundreds of people, I’ve learnt that from one perspective certain changes look easy, and they’re hard, while other changes feel hard, and they’re much easier than predicted.

Sometimes our external situation creates such strong emotions, that we can’t think clearly. While at other times we are so busy with our lives we don’t get to connect with our feelings to allow them to guide us to what is good and positive, and what specifically we need to change to make positive improvements.

Many times in my own life, I’ve been caught by this trap, and it’s led to some difficult situations.

That’s because sometimes our thinking and emotions support us and sometimes our thoughts and feelings stifle and sabotage us.

Whether you are looking for some career coaching, or business coaching, or to work on your personal development to reduce anxiety or stress, or to improve your confidence or motivation, I will support you by grounding you with strong foundations, which will free you to be your most creative and innovative as you design your unique life.

Often, the hardest part of a change journey is overcoming the idea that you don’t currently have all the answers and that it’s OK to reach out for support. I believe that not only is it OK, it’s the positively smart choice as two heads are better than one, especially if the other head is placed in service of you getting the clarity you need to progress in your life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I initially trained with the Coaches Training Institute in 2002.

I trained in Business Coaching with Shirlaws 2007-2009.

I trained in Clean Language 2015 - 2017 and Achieved an ILM Level 5 Qualification in Coaching and Mentoring with Clean Language.

My interest in the coaching process led me to learning about how the brain works, and I am fascinated by what is being learnt now in Neuroscience, and particular how we can apply the latest understandings to improve individual and team performance.

This has resulted in founding three different programmes:

Conscious Communication, a methodology that improves teamwork, collaboration, creativity and understanding by leveraging a new method of communicating.

Hidden Solutions, a methodology that leverages the collective brainpower of a group to discover solutions to big issues, whether they be problems or opportunities.

MindFit, a personal development programme that runs for 12 weeks covering key aspects of our our brain works so that you can learn about how brains work in general, and yours does specifically so that you can leverage your uniqueness to bring better results in your personal and professional lives.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
