How is Somatic Coaching different from traditional coaching?
Hi, I’m Christina — a certified Somatic Coach supporting people who feel stuck in overthinking, emotional disconnection, or chronic stress.
Many traditional coaching methods focus primarily on mindset and problem-solving. While these can be helpful, they often overlook the role of the nervous system and the body in shaping our emotions, behaviours and sense of safety.
In somatic coaching, we work with the body as a guide.
Through nervous system regulation and embodied awareness, we begin to soften stored tension, process unresolved emotional patterns, and access the deeper intelligence of the body. As the nervous system settles, clarity, insight and new possibilities naturally begin to emerge.
How does Somatic Coaching work?
Somatic coaching combines body awareness practices with reflective enquiry and supportive coaching.
Sessions may include gentle practices such as:
-Breath awareness
-Subtle movement and grounding practices
-Sound or vocal release
-Guided somatic awareness
-Reflective dialogue and coaching questions
Together, these practices help the nervous system shift out of stress patterns and allow held emotions, tension and protective responses to safely unwind.
Sessions are one hour long and held online. There is no physical touch involved. Instead, I guide you through gentle prompts and awareness practices that help you reconnect with sensations in your body.
The intention is not to “fix” you, but to create the conditions where your body’s own wisdom can surface, revealing the clarity and next steps that are already within you.
About Me
I am a certified Somatic Coach, trained with the School of Embodied Arts, and a member of the Association for Coaching and the International Institute of Complementary Therapies. I specialise in somatic healing and nervous system regulation techniques.
Alongside my somatic training, I spent over a decade working in management and coaching at Apple. This experience allows me to bridge embodied emotional work with practical life and career development.
I support clients in releasing stored emotional patterns, reconnecting with their intuition, and creating lives and careers that feel meaningful and aligned.

What happens during a session?
Sessions usually begin by gently settling the nervous system and bringing awareness into the body, helping quiet the constant activity of the mind.
From there, we explore the topic or challenge you’d like support with.
Often we’ll notice where a particular emotion, tension, or pattern is being held within the body. Through breath, awareness, subtle movement and guided enquiry, we work with this sensation so it can gradually soften or shift.
As the body releases tension, new insights, clarity and possible next steps often arise naturally.
We aim to end each session with you feeling more grounded, regulated, and connected to the direction that feels right for you.
