About me

Hello, my name is Anthony Davis. I am an integrative psychotherapist and coach accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and registered with the Association for Coaching. I have 13 years of experience working in the fields of mental health and social care in both the United States and the United Kingdom with individuals of various age groups and diverse backgrounds. After completing my BA (Hons) in Psychology and MA in Clinical Social Work, I worked as a clinical social worker and operational lead in social care and the NHS with adults experiencing physical, cognitive and psychological difficulties. Working as a strategic and operation lead developing underperforming community mental health teams instilled in me excellent leadership skills, a passion for individual and team development, and a drive to foster change management.

Several years ago, I embarked on postgraduate training in psychotherapy completing certifications in CBT and Psychological studies and a Diploma in Contemporary Psychotherapy. With this training and previous experience, I developed my private practice, Davis Emotional Well-being, with the goal to provide holistic counselling, coaching and well-being services to individuals and organisations. Additionally, I completed an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Coaching to augment my professional development and support my clients to be empowered and motivated to pursue personal change and overall well-being, and to develop beneficial research to support my clients and organisations to develop personally and professionally.

Putting my coachee’s needs at the forefront and developing a strong working relationship lies at the centre of my practice. My coaching style developed from many years supporting health and social care professionals progress and thrive in their professional careers. I believe you should be at the centre of the coaching process and I can help you manage an array of challenges you may have. All of us have the potential for personal change, growth and development and my goal is to help you develop the coping skills necessary to manage life’s difficulties, whilst also guiding you to access pertinent support networks and resources necessary to sustain overall well-being.

Coaching and Personal Consultancy:

I provide coaching and integrated counselling and coaching (personal consultancy).

Coaching is a dynamic and self-generating process in which we work together to help you improve behaviours, performance, and enact positive change. Through the coaching process, you can develop a clearer direction in life and make meaningful and purposeful life choices.

Personal Consultancy is a framework that integrates counselling and coaching approaches.  This framework can support you to explore and re-balance your thinking, feelings, or habits to enable you to have a stronger foundation for change.

The first step is to get in contact. This can be done via telephone, email or the contact form on my website. Getting in contact gives you the opportunity to ask any questions about how I practice and clarify any concerns you might have in regard to pursuing coaching. The initial contact also gives the opportunity to arrange an initial session to assess your needs for coaching. The second step is an initial session. This is a 50-60 minute session and is a chance for us to meet, speak about what has brought you for coaching and to decide if you want to continue working together. There is no obligation to return if you decide that the service is not for you. If you decide to continue, then a weekly time will be arranged to fit with your availability. The number of sessions is flexible around your needs.

Testimonials:

“Anthony has been my coach for the past two years. From day one he took me under his wing and showed genuine interest in my career prospects and has helped to guide me towards the right path in my career. Anthony is not only a great coach but a loving and caring person who cares very much about his coachee’s general well-being and is always available to offer support in difficult times. Anthony has exceptional leadership skills worthy of emulation and I feel so lucky to have such a fantastic coach who inspires me every day.”

“I cannot recommend him highly enough. His skills in coaching are obvious, but what makes him truly special is his ability to connect with his clients and make them feel heard and understood. He has a unique gift for creating a safe and supportive environment, which allows his clients to explore their thoughts and feelings honestly and openly. If you are looking for a coach who can provide you with the support and guidance you need, I would highly recommend Mr Davis. He has changed my life for the better, and I am certain he can do the same for other clients.”
