About me
Is your child an elite junior athlete who is struggling with form and confidence? Are they feeling overwhelmed with the expectations of school and juggling their sporting commitments?
Do you coach junior elite athletes who maybe struggling with confidence or loss of form?
I am a caring, thoughtful and passionate Coach who enjoys working with a wide range of junior elite performers. I help to guide them through their sporting and educational journey, to realise their full potential and to get the very best out of themselves. My approachable nature allows performers to engage in critical discussion in a safe environment, and to feel confident to explore thoughts and feelings which will no doubt challenge their thinking.
Having a background in international sports performance, I have personal experience of dealing with high-level performance, difficult decisions, emotional attachment and rejection that can arise on the journey to elite performance. Now couple this with over 18 years of working in education with a huge variety of children and you have a coach who is perfectly placed to help your child or performer realise their undoubted potential.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified 2B Limitless APC Performance Coach - a globally recognised and accredited qualification by the International Coach Federation.
I have worked in education (degree in teaching) with over 18 years of experience, 7 of which in Senior Leadership positions.
Within the mindset arena of 1:1 performance coaching, I have supported junior athletes from a wide range of sports including gymnastics, cricket, golf and Judo, including medalists at the Commonwealth Games in 2022
As an athletics performance high jump coach I currently support the development of junior athletes at a local athletics club through 1:1/group sessions, with 2 athletes ranked in the top 7 Nationally and a further 2 in the top 15 for their respective age groups.
I have been a Specialist Leader of Education, and through Cambridge Education I am certified as a Leading Learning Educator. Away from education, I have experience of being a nationally ranked decathlete as well as playing International junior football, representing my country.
I also hold an enhanced DBS check certificate.
