Supervision details
My coaching and supervision work is grounded in over twenty-five years experience as a professional coach and eight as a qualified counsellor. My stance is humanistic and person centred but I welcome enquiries from all coaches and counsellors, as I have extensive experience as a client, coach and supervisor of helping professionals from a range of modalities. My experience and training equips me to work with leadership, organisational and life-coaches, as well as with dual trained coach-counsellors and recently qualified coaches, or those in training.
Prior to moving into coaching and counselling, I worked for many years in roles involving the motivation, support and development of people, and I bring this stance into my role as supervisor. I see your development as a practitioner as a key aspect of our supervisory relationship and my style is warm and supportive.
I extended my coaching and counselling practice into supervision after undertaking a leadership role in a counselling charity. I found it very rewarding to provide support to counsellors dealing with challenging situations and ethical dilemmas or simply needing to download. This experience prompted me to consolidate my skills by undertaking a Certificate in Supervision.
I base my practice on the BACP Ethical Framework, a vital resource for both coaches and counsellors.
Supervision fees are £70 per hour. My usual arrangement is one 90 minute session per month but other requirements can be discussed.
